My DS is Joseph, my DD who is due in May will be Elizabeth, possibly with Catherine as a middle name. What marvellous taste you have!

ItsTooLateNow · 12/01/2011 20:30

Thank you! Ditto! Clearly you have amazing taste too Grin

Don't like Bethan, it sounds unfinished to me. Love Katherine.

ItsTooLateNow · 12/01/2011 20:54

Unfinished? Never heard of it being unfinsished before. Think I see what you mean though. I still love the sound of it though.

Mary ( sorry couldn't help myself being no help)

mathanxiety · 12/01/2011 20:58

I prefer Rachel to Bethan.

Katherine is lovely with Joseph and Elizabeth would be very nice too.

ItsTooLateNow · 12/01/2011 21:17

Grin PuraVida thanks for your input, made me smile if nothing else!

I can't decide between any of them now. I love Katherine and Bethan and Elizabeth. Think I really like Elizabeth though because it can be shotened to Beth same as Bethan.

Elizabeth is lovely and lots of nick name possibilities. I really like it

ItsTooLateNow · 12/01/2011 21:53

Hmmm Elizabeth is growing on me by the minute! May take a bit of pursuading DH though. He loves Katherine.

And how much more fun is the clothes shopping when you're having a girl! I spend hours trawling ebay for things that are a bit girlie but not pink.
Jose-Maria is a boy's name in Spain. Cruz, the name of the Beckhams' youngest is a girl's name, which must have caused some confusion in Barcelona!

PlanetLizard · 13/01/2011 10:26

Bethan Rachel

Ooopsadaisy · 13/01/2011 10:30

Rachel. (Tries not to give away dc's names but fails miserably)

hmberry · 13/01/2011 11:52

Katherine Elizabeth is lovely.

ItsTooLateNow · 13/01/2011 13:13

DrSeuss couldn't agree more! I spend so long looking at girl's clothes now. With ds it was exciting getting all the little outfits but the girl's things are just so cute! I must admit I am not a fan of everyhing pink though and unfortunitely most girly things are pink so I have been searching for more lilacs, baby blues and purple things to break up the pink!

Just type a colour into ebay, go to the baby section and browse, I like turquoise, red or purple.

flopsy1974 · 13/01/2011 15:47

I'm afraid I don't like Bethan. Katherine Elizabeth is beautiful, classic and timeless Smile.

thereisalightanditnevergoesout · 13/01/2011 18:14

I like Katherine Elizabeth.

We have a Joseph. DD1 is Romilly (actually mn is Catherine!), DD2 is Nancy and DS2 is Angus.

Do you have any boys' names or do you know you're having a girl?

tebbles · 13/01/2011 18:15

I prefer Bethan with Joseph.

thereisalightanditnevergoesout · 13/01/2011 18:15

Just a thought though - I think Kate Middleton is Catherine Elizabeth. Might not be a problem though.

BelligerentGhoul · 13/01/2011 18:17

Katherine Elizabeth or Katherine Rachel get my vote - don't like Bethan much, sorry. I prefer Catherine to Katherine but not sure why!

Elizabeth is a lovely name.

mathanxiety · 14/01/2011 05:32

Weirdly enough, I like the spelling Kathryn.

PlanetLizard · 14/01/2011 11:42

I like Cathryn!

ItsTooLateNow · 15/01/2011 09:33

We already have a boy's name chosen it's Matthew.

Used to love the spelling Kathryn but someone once told me it looked a bit dated and 70s and since then I have thought maybe Ketherine would be a safer choice. I prefer it with a K definitely as the nicknames Kate and Kitty are much nicer with a K.

I am still stuck between Bethan and Katherine! Interesting about Kate middleton, I don't know if that would influence my choice though as most people know her as Kate not Catherine.

I prefer Katharine (and would spell with K and a, or C and e - Catherine). Bethan looks unfinished to me too.
