I think Bethan is absolutely beautiful - love Beth as nn - and more unusual than Katherine, but you can't go wrong with either.... I don't agree that it sounds unfinished, it's clearly a name in its own right and quite different from the (awful) name Bethany.

We have Katherine, Thomas and Joseph.
When I was 11 and my mum was pregnant my mum gave my brother and I the option of suggesting names. I chose Katherine Elizabeth then but she ended up having a boy.
When I had my daughter I still liked Katherine and so still used it although changed the middle name just because i had fallen in love with something else by then. She is 16 now and I still love it and definately think it has stood the test of time and has plenty of options if you want a name that can be shortened in a "proper" way which is somethign we have gone with for all three.

OMG that's so funny. DB1 is Joseph, I'm Katherine, and DB3 is Matthew! DB2 is William if you fancy another to throw in the mix? I think they all go well together, they are classic names without being old fashioned. You and my paRENTS have good taste :)

I love Rachel, think it's a great name but i am biased!
