Two weeks to go and no idea on a boy's name

Help!

I was deciding on my baby's name with his dad (we're not together) but now he's done a bunk with two weeks to go and it's all up to ME ME ME!! Grin

Trouble is, I have no idea what to call my forthcoming DS now.

I like more unusual/rock star names rather than bank manager names.

Here are some I considered earlier. Any suggestions gratefully received (have to go out for a bit but will return).

Chester
Dylan (too popular I think)
Elliot
Kingsley
Otto
Emerson

why not wait until you meet baby in person, then you can pick name to suit him.
makes it more fun, don't you think?

Native americans used to name baby after the 1st thing they saw afetr baby was born - just a suggestion....

Hmmm - considering it'll be Xmas Eve he might end up as Claus!

I like Emerson but had considered it for a girl? Don't know if it strictly matters though.

I agree, narrow it down to 2 or 3 then wait till you meet him!

PaigeTurner · 09/12/2010 14:26

Thanks guys. Felix is on list too.

yy with Emerson, thought it may get shortened to Emma...

Elliot and Otto are great (though Elliot not very Rock'n'Roll if that's what you're after)

I like Joel a lot and think it has a guitar feeling about it

I always think of Jimmy as the ultimate guitar name (Jimmy Page, Jimmy Hendrix)

Secretwishescometrue · 10/12/2010 10:18

Love love love Elliot! Sorry bout the shitty fella doing the bunk Angry his loss! When you say rock star is it more Elvis, Bon Jovi or Justin Timberlake we're thinkin?

JamieLeeCurtis · 10/12/2010 10:28

Oh yes, Joel is good

PaigeTurner · 10/12/2010 11:09

Wow, Elliot's really popular!

I'd put that one on the back-burner as I have a friend who has happened to have some chart success this year and he's called Elliot - bit fangirl to name my baby the same [hmmm] He'd think it was well weird.

I like Saul too, but doesn't go with surname.

Secret> More Elvis I'd say. I did consider Elvis actually, but my mum said she'd never speak to me again if I named him that!

maktaitai · 10/12/2010 13:22

Paige, hate to say it but your Mum never speaking to you again re name of her grandchild is an empty threat if there ever was one. Call him Elvis Michael and allow her to call him Mike. Or go for Aaron?

Komondor · 10/12/2010 15:55

Love Elliot and Dylan

5GoldenFimbos · 10/12/2010 16:51
