Amira is very pretty. Lola, Mae and Sienna wouldn't be on my list, but they are perfectly acceptable.

Sorry, have to concur with the consensus that Princess just wouldn't be fair. Some names are just cruel. Trust me, I was nearly called Hedwig.

Snorbs, aren't poshos generally potty-mouthed? Or is that just the stuff of legend?

Princess means 'my father has no taste when it comes to names'.

readywithwellies · 26/10/2010 12:32

Princess is OK if you are so rich that no one needs to take you seriously.

MissHavishamsDress · 26/10/2010 19:54

No, there's an overkill of 'Princess' culture at the moment, tacky and plastic along the lines of Jordan. I would like to be able to buy a little girl's b'day card with no hint of either pink or princesses. Lola (without -Mae) on its own is the best, but it's rather too common at the moment. I prefer Lulu or Lula to Lola, more stylish. Sienna is a wannabe sleb name.

I would prefer Precious if you had to find something similar.
