I thought it seemed pretty and not too popular or unusual?

diaorrhea

when it's coming out your bum like a bullet from a gun....

ElephantsAndMiasmas · 20/09/2010 17:43

Just bellowed with laughter at RunLyraRun's picture - it is extremely sweet, and if your DD is likely to be fluffy with big brown eyes and long skinny legs I think you should go for it. :o

I always thought it was pronounced "rayer" (as in Mens Rea - am I getting that right? Now I read it back it looks like I'm talking about chaps' arses). But "rear" as in "dire rear" [sic] makes sense.

In which case, the poor rhea lamb will suffer from "Rhea of the year" etc jokes forever. Sorry.

Haven't read rest but makes me think of an ostrich.

PuppyMonkey · 20/09/2010 19:21

Riah is nicer.

ramonaquimby · 20/09/2010 19:23

don't like it

My brother had this lovely stunning girlfriend at University called Rhea...but everyone called her Gonorrhea.

Leighdudley · 15/09/2011 22:27

Ostrich - How can it remind anyone of an one, because it is called a Rhea not an ostrich. You people need teaching properly.

Diarrhoea - The people that think this are childish and need to be more grown up.

Rear - Well if you people pronounced it clearly and properly it does not sound like that at all.

I love the name, I spell it Rhia.

mopsyflopsy · 16/09/2011 08:45

Ria is nice

Hunstanton · 16/09/2011 09:28

Like so many others here, my immediate thought was diarrhoea.

Hunstanton · 16/09/2011 09:33

I think you're living in a very idealistic world and forgetting how cruel kids can be to others

FoxyRevenger · 16/09/2011 12:16

I LOVE it!! I knew a girl called Rhea at uni, she was very beautiful, vivacious and always looked really cool.

It's on my shortlist if I ever have another girl.

ChickensHaveNoEyebrows · 16/09/2011 12:18

It doesn't make me think of poo, but it does make me think of huge eyed rheas. But that's not a bad thing. I love rheas.

OriginalPoster · 16/09/2011 12:22

It could be good as a middle name, with Diana first, Di for short...

On second thoughts, maybe not.

There are plenty of other names.

Have we put you off yet?

If you like Rh. rhona is pretty?

sonniebonnie · 16/09/2011 12:23

I know a lovely Ria and have never, ever thought of diaorrhea when I talk to her!!
