What do you think of Dorcas for a girl? I like it, but my family has already shortened it to Dork!

It is my least favorite girls name ever, honestly.

I really wouldn't use this name. Sorry to be harsh, but you can't lumber a child with a potential nn of 'dorc', it's just not fair. Do you have any other names on your list? I'm sure they'd be better!

Dorcas is a lovely name.

How about Dorsa? It means 'pearl like' in Persian. It has a kind of trill on the 'r' Dorr-sah (at least the lady I know who has Dorsa pronouces it like that ).
