How many Mayas do you know and where (roughly) do you live.

I keep hearing on here that it is a really common name and there are dozens of them etc. It seems really unusual where we live (W. Yorks) and I'm wondering if there is a regional bias or whether it is just the kid of name that people notice IYSWIM.

I'm in the North West and know no Mayas but two Mias

I know of one Maya who is lovely and about 13/14 but pronounced My-ah rather than May-ah. I live in the home countries

I know three Mayas - all pronounced My-ah - all aged between 3 - 6

I'm in West Yorkshire too

Only one. She's 10 and lives in St. Albans.

Lovely girl. V talented and sweet

I know one in Hertfordshire - she is 18 months old

A few Mayas around us (SE), of different nationalities. Seems to work well in many languages/cultures.
