How many Mayas do you know and where (roughly) do you live.

I keep hearing on here that it is a really common name and there are dozens of them etc. It seems really unusual where we live (W. Yorks) and I'm wondering if there is a regional bias or whether it is just the kid of name that people notice IYSWIM.

Definitely 3 children and 1 adult that I can think of, but I'm pretty sure a few more have cropped up (friends of friends etc,) that I can't think of right now

I'm in Manchester and I know just one, mine! Spelt Maia though, best girls name there is!

Just know 1 Maya, mine! In west suffolk. I wouldn't class it as an overused name in general.
