What's on your to-do list?

I have 5 weeks to make
1 changing bag for my pregnant friend
Nappy holder, tissue holder, wet bags for same
Newborn hat
Baby bunny blanket thing (baby due in 3 weeks)
2 pencil and pad totes
2 superhero crochet eye masks (DD1's friends birthdays)
6 pairs fingerless gloves for christmas presents (2 for boys, rest for girls)
4 wristlets
1 christmas stocking
1 christmas robin

Not to mention cooking sweets for family.

(all the christmas stuff is to hand over to my fmaily at our annnual christmas get together in 5 weeks)

Then before christmas I have to make more sweets (what a chore) 2 small handbags, 3 wristlet bags.

DD's need new hats, gloves and scarves that I refuse to buy as I can make them but don't have time!

Am exhausted just thinking about it.
And I want a new cloche crochet hat, a new bag made out of a child's kimono I found, a wristlet and some fingerless gloves as well.

Make me feel better?

I keep making one glove and then starting a new pattern cos I don't like it.

I need to make the DCs' Christmas presents, finger puppets etc

Need to make MIL's birthday present which I haven't started yet (2 weeks)

Need to make a newborn dress from my pattern to see if I like it for incubating DD2

Cut out and sew the cat purse that's been waiting around for a week

Try and use up most of my scraps so I can justify new fabric

Work out who I can make the pie in a jar I found on Sew Mama Sew for as a present, then make them!

Not as high stress as your list sounds Jack but am going to have to stop burying my head in the sand I think.

do you work? i would have a hard time keeping up with all that and a job.

i have just started needle felting so am not promising anything yet but may do some flower broaches for christmas.

I always have lots of half finished projects and need deadlines to get them done. Could you write a list of what you are going to do next week? I often do taht and then ignore it and do random blitzes.

I reckon gloves are most urgent, then bag and baby stuff.
DD's friends presents are an issue as one of them had the party at the weekend but his birthday isn't for a month and his mum is a good friend and also the pregnant mother, so she will happily wait a bit

Sweets are easiest I think, a day at most for that. But still

Have finished my another test glove and found apattern I really like. Did it in my 'spare' yarn which was 50p for a big ball. I don't like the colours but it's great for testing. Am halfway through the second one already here's the pattern if anyone is interested! (crochet pattern)
I reckon I can get a pair knocked out a night so that's the gloves sorted.
Wristlet purses will take a couple of hours, once I have chosen fabric...

This week I need to make:

• 1 x Row of Bunting
• 2 x Cushion covers
• 1 x George Pig Dinosaur Softie

By end of the month:

• 1 x Block for a Quilting Bee I'm in
• 1 x Victorian inspired Christmas Stocking
• 1 x Apron (just a waist one iykwim)
• 1 x Fabric Basket

By Christmas

• 3 x Quilts (for DS, DD & my cousin's son)
• A Kids Apron, Oven Glove & Ironing Board cover set
• 1 x Knitting Needle roll
• 1 x Seat Belt Strap Cover

And anything else that comes up in the meantime!!

I use big fabric covered buttons as they look so cool.
And nothing to do with the fact I can't do zips properly.....

I have found a good tute actuaslly for zippered wristlets so might try it out but that involves going to fabric store to buy zips and that's just dangerous

I'm never going to get this done for this year but next year I am going to make this!

Btw Jack, though wristwarmers look fab, but I am coveting these. I have made them in black for my mum's partner for Christmas but I want some for me in a dozen different colours in Debbie Bliss Cashmerino

May have to settle for two colours at £3.80 a ball.

will probably do like thsi without the inner pockets
this one is very cute

I have one that is falling apart as I didn't line it and have been made another in a craft swap, they ar so handy, I keep my keys, phone and purse in them and then I can just grab that instead of whole changing/handbag

Very handy for going out as well as they are permanently attached to yor wrist!

Those wristlets look fab, I haven't ventured into serious sewing yet. I have a sewing machine but don't really know how to use it in anger, and fabric is so expensive.

I like these but I don't think there is a pattern on that site and I have no clue how to do lining. You guys are serious, I'm an amateur in this game!

Ugh, lining in crochet, I have never tried it and I don't fancy trying it either, looks way too complex!

The one I made was the easiest thign though.

I have a new one to add to my list, a cover for the DSi that my brother is buying for my mum.

I love this thread as it makes me feel like I'm not being too ambitious afterall! I love everyone's creativity and perhaps crazy ambition! I have only been knitting a little while but am becoming addicted!

My list is:

2 baby boatneck jumpers with matching hats
Hat and matching bootees
Hat to match baby cardigan already made
Wrap-over baby cardigan and matching hat
2 waterproof drawstring bags
Scarf to match hat already made
2 cushion covers
A few bandana style bibs
As many knitted/sewn toys as I can!
Some curtain tie backs

All before xmas.... Hooray for my maternity leave starting in a few weeks. Just hope the baby doesn't arrive early!
