No idea, sounds something bigger than us. I take it you've put the foot down......... and it is the right foot , not a buttonhole foot or anything????

DutchOma · 13/06/2008 22:06

Can you actually get the spool thread up when you bring the needle down? And up again?

whoopsididitagain · 13/06/2008 22:18

yes the right foot is on

and no its only picking the thread once then never again

my new bf 's mum has taken pity on me and donated hers to me from sunday so i'll see what i can do from there im gutted at the mo

Yes, that really is funny. Hope you get on better with the new machine and that previous owner can shed some light on the one you have at the moment.

whoopsididitagain · 14/06/2008 09:36

What happend to the spool thread after you have brought it up and try to sew with it? Does the top thread make stitches?

fizzbuzz · 15/06/2008 09:59

I think you need to come to one of my lessons!

The technician and I would sort you out pronto

whoopsididitagain · 15/06/2008 10:39

Hmmm, S Yorks...not too far...If you are desperate...?

TBH if you have been trying for ages and know a bit about machines then I think it is the machine tbh

I dread practical lessons when entire class is sewing, and all the machines pack in at once. I just want to run away...

DutchOma · 15/06/2008 14:38

But where is the spool thread at this moment? The moment you have your line of thread and the lovely holes on top?
Has it gone back into the housing? Is it simply still sitting there where you left it before you started sewing?
Or, and this would be the easiest to deal with, is it all scroofled up underneath your piece of material?

whoopsididitagain · 15/06/2008 22:29

check my new new out which works

see my very first attempt on my profile pics lol
