Yeah I know I said I'd post on Monday but I know some of you are getting a little over-excited (naming no names meridian) so here it is.

Easter Swap

Either 1 medium or 2 small Easter-themed items. I'll leave the details entirely up to the individual as you all know what constitutes small or medium for your own particular passion.

Sign up on this thread by 11th February & I'll post partners the day after. Parcels should be mailed by 10th March so that gives us a whole month.

To sign up please copy the list of names & post it, adding your name to the bottom.

I'll go first shall I?

oooo...how exciting is this!!!!

I am another one who is quite keen to know who I am swapping with! I do like to at least try be to organised even if I never am!I could start preparing and getting ideas...for Dilly Dally Dingle that really IS my biggest obstacle, actually deciding what to do!!LOL

scuffles off to do some more coursework!!

Gingermonkey · 30/01/2008 10:27

That's your new job title. Every group needs a webmaster. And you can now say to people when they ask what you do 'I'm a sahm, help out in frizbe's shop, craft a lot...oh, and I'm a webmaster too' Pretty impressive eh? And your parents will love telling their friends 'Meri just got a job as a webmaster'. 'that sounds interesting. What is it?' 'it's a very important internet job, very technical. I think Bill Gates was one once' Fancy eh?

meridian · 30/01/2008 10:39

LOL.. started a new thread .. am trying to make a title image for the new blog...

meridian · 30/01/2008 10:41

er sorry new thread here

please sign up on it and I will add everyone to it as you do

GreebosWhiskers · 30/01/2008 12:05

Gordon Bennett this has taken off!

I think GingerMonkey's post on Tue 29-Jan-08 22:12:50 & vInTaGeVioLeT's on Tue 29-Jan-08 21:41:04 both got the idea of the swap spot-on - I like the idea of being able to make a wee thing for my partner & also sending her something that she's going to be able to use for crafting.

btw GingerMonkey I think poor Dingle got the message

Have I missed my email for our swapees yet. Am really excited!

meridian · 06/02/2008 21:15

do we have to wait all the way to the 11th? I want to know who my swap partner is now! maybe it will give me some much needed inspiration... or a complex... it could go either way!

Gingermonkey · 06/02/2008 21:17

calm down, Meri!!!

But yes, do we have to wait???

rantinghousewife · 06/02/2008 21:20

Yes am champing at the bit now. I do pity the poor person who looks forward to their gift from me though!

Whizzz · 06/02/2008 21:21

half term is a great time to start creating something.......... (providing DS is occupied that is !)

Gingermonkey · 06/02/2008 21:23

ranting - I thought you were the queen of crochet?

rantinghousewife · 06/02/2008 21:25

I can crochet, knit and sew, Jack of all trades, master of none.
I should point out here though, that my handsewing is shameful, compared to yours GM.

rantinghousewife · 06/02/2008 21:29

Actually my crochet is quite good

meridian · 06/02/2008 21:32
Gingermonkey · 06/02/2008 21:48

Meri - get out of the corner, woman!

I had heard, RH that you were the queen of crochet - it's legendary, by all accounts. And my hand sewing isn't neat, it was the small immigrant child I have working in my understairs cupboard that made your DD's horse

rantinghousewife · 06/02/2008 21:51

This is because I am foolhardy and attempted a crochet dress! Actually I am rather smug about it, it is quite nice.

Gingermonkey · 06/02/2008 21:54

I saw said dress, and I was rather TBH. And a photo of you in said dress also, not looking like a bag of peanuts - which is quite easy with knit, it can be unforgiving, can't it? (I have a knitted dress that without appropriate underwear I can look like a bag of dry roasted....despite being rather skin and bone like)

rantinghousewife · 06/02/2008 21:57

Oh yes, woolies can look a little lumpy sometimes, actually I have that trouble with most of my knitting!

Gingermonkey · 06/02/2008 21:58

I'd blame the yarn - most definitely

rantinghousewife · 06/02/2008 22:02

Actually I will be troubling you again soon, dd has decided that Rosie (aka as Merrylegs) needs company. Hope you don't mind.

Gingermonkey · 06/02/2008 22:54

Well, of course it'll be a complete chore...but the immigrant child needs to earn her keep hee hee hee. It'd be a pleasure.

rantinghousewife · 06/02/2008 22:55

Thank you, you are a gem.

meridian · 08/02/2008 11:07

as DS would say only three more sleeps!

Gingermonkey · 08/02/2008 13:12

I'm pacing.......
