Well I think so anyway Ocean Jasper bracelets

One for me, one for a friend's birthday & one for the school fayre.
Ocean Jasper is supposed to be soothing & combats stress, but to be honest, the colours in each bead are amazing (the pic doesn't do them justice). They remind me of pebbles on the beach

Ooooh they are lovely Whizzz

I loved the jewellery you made for vvv's wedding too - very nice!

sparklygothkat · 16/11/2007 18:11

Miaou!!! where have you been? haven't seen you for ages!!

sorry whizzz

Peachy · 16/11/2007 18:14

They're lovely

but everything you make is lovely

fireflyfairy2 · 16/11/2007 18:15

I'm wearing my yellow Turquoise bracelet at the minute!!

Those new ones are gorgeous!!

Miaou · 16/11/2007 18:20

Helloa!! I've been about, but not as much. Pesky kids

Been laid low with an abcess this week, plus lots of shifts at work

How's Callum doing?

DANCESwithHughJackman · 16/11/2007 18:30

OMG Whizz! Your seed beading (had snoop at other pics) is amazing. You are the beading Yoda

Whizzz · 16/11/2007 19:14

thankyou all
I loved making VVVs stuff Miaou - it gave me an excuse to buy lovely Swarovski crystals & pearls (alhough sadly I couldn't keep them all for myself)

My seed beading is still a bit amateur - that's why I haven't made anything more 'normal' recently. I keep playing with seed beads (which takes ages!) and then taking it all apart again 'cos it's gone wonky! Maybe not quite Yoda yet, more JarJar Binks!

whizzz, those are really lovely bracelets. I believe you are the Yoda of beadery, actually, so wear your (seed beaded) crown with pride

very nice. i love the dragonfly earrings

Whizzz · 17/11/2007 17:22

I've been busy today & added a few more things to my pic trail & a better pic of the scrummy ocean jasper bracelet.
I've also made some short necklaces for lads or Man Beads as I've decided to call them - they are actually re-fashioned using beads from a bracelet GingerMonkey sent me!! (Shhh, don't tell )

Beautiful!

3Ddonut · 17/11/2007 20:33

They're really lovely, I also really like the charcoal shell set and the unusual baubles, I missed your jewellery for VVQ's wedding, but I'd love to see a pic if you have one??!!!! (hopeful..)

Whizzz · 17/11/2007 20:40

well I hope VVV won't mind!
here you are Burgundy Swarovski pearls & beautiful sparkly Swaro crystals. A real pleasure & an honour to make

lucykate · 17/11/2007 21:11

hey, they're nice whizzz

i took my bracelet to a chocaholics night last night, got quite a few compliments on it

southeastastra · 17/11/2007 21:12

i really like the bracelets, can you make anymore?

Whizzz · 17/11/2007 22:23

which ones southeastastra?
If it's the ocean jasper ones I'd had to order some more of the beads, but it could be done

3Ddonut · 17/11/2007 22:35

Thanks whizz, they're lovely, quite similar to the ones I had

Gingermonkey · 18/11/2007 10:38

LK, is that like an AA meeting, but for chocaholics, because if it is I'm sending DH. He ate a whole box of orange matchmakers yesterday (and saved me 1!, that was it!), and keeps popping round to his brothers' next door to steal chocolate oranges (because I will only buy rich tea fingers and ginger biscuits - I am mean)
Whizzz, I was sorting out my christmas prezzies last night and had forgotten how lovely the necklace you made my mum is - it really is fab. Ps, the dino is done!

MerryAnnSinglemas · 18/11/2007 10:39

lovely whizzz - very elegant !

lucykate · 18/11/2007 11:52

gm - lol, no not quite, it was more like an ann summers party but selling chocolate , didn't buy much just a couple of stocking fillers for the dc's, was soooo disappointed that when it can to free samples, we only got 1 choc each . came home and ate nearly a whole big bar of aero afterwards (perhaps that is why i've had a headache all weekend )

lucykate · 18/11/2007 11:53

told dh we wrestled in a paddling pool of melted chocolate in our underwear

Gingermonkey · 18/11/2007 12:42

LK, poor DH, bet he's having filthy dreams about it all

Isawbumperkissingsantaclaus · 18/11/2007 13:32

Wow, whizzz, you are so clever. I really want to start making my own jewellery. I spend a stupid amount of money in hobby craft but it's difficult to get started with a 5 month old!

Whizzz · 18/11/2007 18:20

Yes, beading probably doesn't mix too well with a little one. If you get a decent box though to put all your beads & stuff in, it is quite easy to get out & put away when you do find time. I find its a lot less 'messy' than card making!
I've been to a Bead Fair today and bought loads of yummy stuff (oops ) - can't wait to have a play!
