Have done 3 robins!

Gingermonkey · 21/11/2007 12:06

soupy, I think a dragon would be a lovely dino alternative....I'll have a fiddle about and see what I come up with! Well done on the robins.

cremolafoam · 21/11/2007 12:17

i know it is not crafts but i love this blog

SoupDragon · 21/11/2007 12:17

I got sidetracked whilst uploading the photo. And there were only two finished robins. Do you think they look wrong without wings? The owls didn't but I'm not sure about the robins.

Gingermonkey · 21/11/2007 15:02

cremolafoam - I like anything with pics of cakes!
Soupy - I like them without wings, they are very cute. Like the beaks especially!

SoupDragon · 21/11/2007 15:47

They just lack something. Maybe they'll look better strung up. There are 9 of them in case I can be arsed to put feel like putting "christmas" on them.

The beaks are heart shaped buttons but I don't think I have enough of that size to do the full set (unless I use non-beak colours) and the larger ones I have look too big. I'm fussy

I had to close the cake site as I started to drool...

Wotzupnow · 21/11/2007 16:57

Soupy they are lovely, I like the buttons

True I think wings would be nice (just want you to do more work) and just had a thought they would be nice as boiled egg cosies
Have i put my foot in it?

SoupDragon · 21/11/2007 16:59

They've about the right size for egg cosies, although possibly not warm enough.

Perhaps I can make as sring with wings on to attach the robins to. Kind of prosthetic wings...

SoupDragon · 21/11/2007 16:59

"make as sring" = make a string

The SmallDragons have b*ggered up my keyboard.

cremolafoam · 21/11/2007 17:31

soupy- i looooove your robins. i might be tempted to give them rosy cheeks too- a thumbprint of red fabric paint.but that might guild the lily. i think they are fine without wings

cremolafoam · 21/11/2007 17:38

also cute
