oh how lovely. i'd been wondering where boobylicious had gone, it was one of those memorable names that slightly turned your stomach, iykwim? not as good as mine, obv.

Whizzz · 07/10/2007 13:09

Glad to hear one of my creations is considered lucky - well done to boobylicious !

BellaBear · 07/10/2007 13:14

I really like the earrings - I thought the bracelets were necklaces too! I prefer a necklace than a bracelet, but I rarely wear bracelets. I think they would work very well as necklace, but perhaps with smaller links? Either way, they would really dress an outfit up!

Apologies if I repeating what anyone else said

Nbg · 07/10/2007 13:22

She says she might convert back now

So what do you all think of prices? Reasonable?

OP posts:
Whizzz · 07/10/2007 14:32

I am useless at pricing. I basically try & complete with high street stuff so don't ask a lot for what I make. I don't run it as a business though, I only really look to cover my costs & to buy more beads. Its the making that I really like rather than making money.
It's hard to compete with mass produced stuff which is why i prefer to make stuff to order rather than make 'stock' to sell.

Remember to include the prices of the beads, findings + any P&P you have incurred if you order components by mail.

Nbg · 07/10/2007 15:14

Thats what I was thinking Whizzz. I've ordered all my stuff online so i've included p&p costs.
But like you i just enjoy making them.

Whizzz · 07/10/2007 15:17

it's sooooo addictive.....you always need one more bead

I dont wear jewellery but I think they are all lovely. They are so nice I could become a jewellery wearer!

Heathcliffscathy · 07/10/2007 15:38

I like simpler jewellery (sp?). the stuff is pretty but not my cup of tea....prefer the earrings to the bracelets.

Nbg · 07/10/2007 17:53

Well thats a good compliment MrsW

OP posts:
AitchyBabesHugz2AllUHunnis · 07/10/2007 18:43

the prices seem reasonable, yes, but i'd pay more for madder, bigger, more jezuzhaveyouseenwotshe'sgotonherwrist stuff. and i like alldressedup as a name as well, as it happens.

nappyaddict · 07/10/2007 18:55

i love the aquamarine drops. im confused are they necklaces or bracelets?

Nbg · 07/10/2007 20:52

They are bracelets but I am going to do some matching necklaces which obviously will be the same link and then I'm doing some gold fine necklaces too with smaller drops on.

OP posts:
PestoPumpkinMonster · 07/10/2007 20:54

I think they're lovely!

suwoo · 07/10/2007 21:07

I love them too, they're nicer and more what I'm looking for than anything I have seen on etsy. Could you/would you make them without semi precious stones for a cheaper price?

Nbg · 07/10/2007 21:38

Yes I could make them without gemstones and swap them for glass beads or something similar.
I just love gemstones so get a bit carried away

I have registered with Mumz mall so as soon as my registration comes through I am going to set up a shop with them and then look at Etsy too.

Must get cracking with more making!

OP posts:
nappyaddict · 07/10/2007 21:56

what is etsy

Nbg · 08/10/2007 08:52

Etsy is another website that you can have your own little shop on and it costs pence so loads cheaper than ebay.
The only downside to it is that its an american site so everything is listed in dollars but its only a little downside imo.
Better than paying ebay fees.

OP posts:
casbie · 08/10/2007 09:01

OP - nice, but you need some piccies of the jewellery around someone's neck. a) for sizing and b) because gems glow differently against the skin and so your quartz would look better against the skin than against a green background.
