NBG - they look great! Not my type of thing though (I don't wear much jewellry) but I have some friends who would absolutely love it.

ssd · 07/10/2007 10:40

its pretty, I like the simpler, not too chunky things myself

I'm short and I find a chunky necklace is too much for my wee neck, although other folk can really suit them

are you going into business with this?

good luck if you are!

tiredemma · 07/10/2007 10:41

I LOVE the red one. its lovely

I dont like the blue one though - just doesnt look as nice as the red one.

Love both of the earrings

ADragonIs4LifeNotJustHalloween · 07/10/2007 10:42

Lovely, although the "drops" on the bracelets are too large for my personal taste.

Whizzz · 07/10/2007 10:45

Earrings are great, you can't really go wrong with styles like that.
The bracelets are nice, you might try using smaller linked bracelets for a more delicate look. I always think some people don't like larger 'dangly' bracelets for fear of catching them on clothes/things (I like them tho )

Nbg · 07/10/2007 10:48

Cool, thank you

I was thinking that the bracelets might have too big links.

They're actually xmas presents and I have done colours that have been asked for.

Bracelets are much too chunky for my taste. Earrings are nice though.

belgo · 07/10/2007 10:53

I would be happy with them as a Christmas present

HonoriaGlossop · 07/10/2007 10:53

I think they're lovely, and I like the big-ness of them. I love the idea of having that big drop bead on a bracelet, too.

They have an original look to them, which is unusual in beaded jewellery. The danger I think of going smaller with the links etc, is that they will look the same as many, many others out there.

I think they're lovely, well done!

SuGaRCoAteDPoiSOn · 07/10/2007 10:56

I really really like them! especially the rose quartz and amethyst

I like big and chunky.. bit like me really

Well done

elescarybells · 07/10/2007 10:57

they are great nbg, i want the red one.

did you get the little bags for them in the end?

Whizzz · 07/10/2007 10:57

Also must add that there is a lot of chunky jewellery in the shops at the mo

tiredemma · 07/10/2007 10:57

Are you going to make any to sell on here NBG?

MIL would love the red heart one if you considered making one.

NappiesLaGore · 07/10/2007 10:59

forget the jewellery, those kids are GORGEOUS!!

yum yum. ill take thoseoff your hands... whaddaya say? couple of camels? ill throw a big screen telly in if you bargain hard

the jewellry: i like the bracelets... i cant wear earings, i always think i look a right nob in them - same goes for most jewellery really, am rubbish at accessories ! but... i like the bracelets... i bet they feelnicer in person too, sort of heavier than they look in the pics.

PrincessAfterLife · 07/10/2007 11:01

I really likes the stones on the necklaces (top 3 pics). I would wear them. Lovely colours and shapes. Red one is my favourite. Not so keen on the big links in the chains though. The earrings are nice but not as imaginative and 'different' as the necklaces.

(Was that too honest??)

BecauseImWereWolfit · 07/10/2007 11:02

Absolutely gorgeous. Especially like the aquamarine earrings.

Do you have a catalogue?!

I'd definitely buy stuff from you.

Nbg · 07/10/2007 12:18

Well thank you for all your replies.
I needed proper honest answers otherwise I could sit and make a ton of them and everyone would hate them!

I would definately consider making some if anyone wants them.
Just CAT me
I was also thinking of listing them on Etsy which is why I wanted to gauge your opinions.

I didnt get the bags but they are in my favourites ready to buy.

let me take a little looksie...

ELF1981 · 07/10/2007 12:23

Ooooh, they are very pretty

Lizzer · 07/10/2007 12:27

They're lovely NBG!!

Ps are your pets and children for sale cos they're sooooooo gorgeous too?

LaDiDaDi · 07/10/2007 12:31

I like them though I wasn't sure if the bracelets were bracelets of necklaces.

The earrings have got quite a different look compared with the bracelets so although they are nice in their own right I'm not sure that they would work as a "set" iyswim.

I know that you said the rose quartz one didn't come out as well but I think it's my fave because I like chunky stones of pale/subtle colours, bold colours and big can be a bit too much for people who don't wear much in the way of accessories normally.

Hope you have lots of success.

Whizzz · 07/10/2007 12:34

I've never tried Etsy (or EBay for that matter) but Iknow some on here have shops.
I need to get myself in gear for Xmas. I have neglected my website for ages & need to get back to do some proper 'beady' things

Nbg · 07/10/2007 12:37

Thank you Elf

Ok so next step is pricing.
I was thinking £15 for the earrings because they are Swarowski crystal and sterling silver.
For the bracelets around £20-£25 depending on what stones were used and colours.

For example, the ametheyst are more expensive than the aquamarine.

I'm also in the process of making a necklace which is a fine yellow gold with smaller briolettes on it and possibly a black/purply coloured pearl.

Whizzz, I have a mnetter here called dressedupnowheretogo (used to be boobylicious), shes bought a couple of bits off you. Well she wants me to tell you that the necklace is lucky as shes worn it to her job interviews and she has now got the job

AitchyBabesHugz2AllUHunnis · 07/10/2007 12:41

i like much chunkier things, personally. they are nice, but say for example the red one is more appealing to me as it's bolder. although clearly i am in the minority on that one.

Nbg · 07/10/2007 12:42

lol lizzer

ladida, i wasnt thinking of sets really, although I could do them with the bracelets.
