Selling handmade/upcycled clothing/projects

I know it's really hard to make a living at selling handmade and upcycled projects and I make them alongside alterations, repairs and making home furnishing

So where is a good place to sell, what do I need to know to be legal (like the inners of cushins must have a fire retardent label but the cushion cover doesn't)

What do you do about washing - most of mine would be hand wash I reckon so just a label?

I'm not doing nightwear or fanciness for those reasons

My froggie dress has not been received well here; which is a shame as I thought it was fab

I don't see any comments about the froggie dress? I have to say though that I don't like it because the cartoonish, modern frog print just jars with the old-fashioned and classic embroidery. It's a mismatch.

I think a dress made only of the frog print would be great.

I only had enough for that top - it was a tiny scarp from a project 17 years ago

I love the frog print but agree it doesn't quite go with the skirt, a solid cotton in one of the print colours (maybe red) would work well.

Oddly enough I have had an enquiry about it - watch this space it may be the first one sold!!

Lovely stuff...i loce the idea of upcycled clothing....not sure about the knitting derailment...beautiful knitting but perhaps start a new thread.

I started a shop on nuMonday!

Today I made dungarees - then DD stole them
