Tamum....the DNA scarf makes some progress

I took it with me to Disney, but forgot the pattern!

Went to the chemo appointmemt today and have now sucessfully completed one repeat. The first time I tried it I made a mistake and had to un pick the darned thing!

It is very compelling, and is a very suitable 'knit' for the onology department!

Good news today BTW, comparative scans show that all tumours have shrunk!

Oh hooray about the scans, that's brilliant

Well done with the scarf, it is strangely addictive, isn't it. Bet the medics are impressed though!

Blandmum · 27/02/2007 18:28

I didn't show them. They already think that dh and I are mildly mad as it is [wik]

great about the scans, bit weird about the scarf !

Tamum · 27/02/2007 18:43

Well, sadly it would look exactly like the pattern mb is using given the level of detail, but maybe you could fashion it into a kind of viral shape.... (another flat just gone on the market opposite btw)

Tamum · 27/02/2007 18:44

I love the fact that people are reading this thread even though the title clearly involves DNA and knitting

Blandmum · 27/02/2007 18:47

It isn't that hard a knit, tbh, it is just a bit of a bother remembering where you are in the chain. I really should invest in one of those little row counters.....do they still exist???

Fillyjonk · 27/02/2007 18:51

viral dna-but its more a crochet job, innit?

Tamum · 27/02/2007 18:52

That would be nice, wouldn't it? You could embroider it on afterwards.

Fillyjonk · 27/02/2007 18:52

oh pmsl, one of MN more surreal x posts, i think

Blandmum · 27/02/2007 18:54

Oh LMAO! That was good!

Where else on the internet could you find two knitters posting a picture of viral DNA.

I so love this place, it makes me feel 'normal'

OP posts:
Tamum · 27/02/2007 18:54

I'm sure it would be possible to rig up a cuddly one of these , wouldn't it?

Yup, surreal is about the size of it

marthamoo · 27/02/2007 18:59

Oh goody! Another DNA and knitting thread.

marthamoo · 27/02/2007 19:00

Tamum · 27/02/2007 19:01

marthamoo · 27/02/2007 19:04
