I took it with me to Disney, but forgot the pattern!

Went to the chemo appointmemt today and have now sucessfully completed one repeat. The first time I tried it I made a mistake and had to un pick the darned thing!

It is very compelling, and is a very suitable 'knit' for the onology department!

Good news today BTW, comparative scans show that all tumours have shrunk!

Ermm no, don't worry, we'll be fine, honest

I thought of you today- ds has to do a talk about anything he likes for English, with audio and visual props, so he is doing The Goodies and taking in a DVD so they can all watch "How to make babies by doing dirty things". I knew you'd be as proud as I am

DNA made of Lego

"I'm sure it would be possible to rig up a cuddly one of these , wouldn't it? "

hmmm sounds like a challenge...is it the sort of thing first time mums go for, do you think?

marthamoo · 27/02/2007 19:08

He gets to take in a DVD of the Goodies for an English lesson. By 'eck, times have changed...

Tamum · 27/02/2007 19:09

Yes, it's phage Pruni- it would make an excellent jumper, though not exactly HIV I know. Actually there are some great pictures here , they could be adapted to make bobble hats

I wasn't sure that that particular DVD would be deemed suitable, but he assures me that his Emglish teacher is very broad-minded, and let them watch Meet The Parents.

This thread gets more and more surreal by the second, doesn't it?

marthamoo · 27/02/2007 19:14

Have you seen those soft toys that are microbes and virii and nasty uggy-buggy things (that last is a technical term, don't worry if you haven't heard it)? You could do knitted versions of those.

Tamum · 27/02/2007 19:15

I have, they're great. I guess you learnt all that about uggy wuggys from your dh, did you?

marthamoo · 27/02/2007 19:15

Sorry - dh says "viruses" not virii (I hate it when he reads over my shoulder).

marthamoo · 27/02/2007 19:16

I wonder who you would give a stuffed Ebola virus to? Or syphillis?

marthamoo · 27/02/2007 19:18

"Please have this gonorrhea toy as a small token of my affection."

(I don't think I spelled that right)

Tamum · 27/02/2007 19:20

Shall I mention my toy chlamydomonas again?

marthamoo · 27/02/2007 19:22

Does it look like this?

Blandmum · 27/02/2007 19:23

Tamum, you are such a brag!

Almost exactly, but all the organelles are made of felt and are suspended in a clear plastic bag thing

ScummyMummy · 27/02/2007 19:24

Great news that the tumours are shrinking and the scarf is growing.

marthamoo · 27/02/2007 19:25

Sounds cute. For an uggy-buggy thing.

ScummyMummy · 27/02/2007 19:30

Well I never... I'm sure one of my partner's Hawaiian shirts is decorated with the Hepadna virus.
