Who of us is left? So many seem to have gone, but there might be some newbies around (Peachy waves hopefully).

Do we want to organse something? happy to do it, if any interest, really need to get motivated again.

oh and

can I thus use 4 shades of pink and 2 shades of green, say? or would it need to be 1 shade pink + 1 shade green?

god, 2 colours! hard work for a knitter! i knit cos i like colour. might sew summat...

Fillyjonk · 13/01/2007 08:16

Oh AND

can it be a photo?

or do I have to do something crafty with the photo?

thanks for listening

junkinmytrunk · 13/01/2007 08:54

have my idea but I jusst hope it fits in properly with the theme......i think it doess but might have to check with one of you clever people later!

PeachyClair · 13/01/2007 11:19

If it were a photo that firt the theme, why not? The idea of this is that we can get all the crafty types to put together a showcase really, instead of cardmakers, thataway, scrappers over there- iyswim. You could do a photo and then scrap it (I probably will) but I think a decent photot would be lovely actually. It's supposed to be white and then one other colour, as many shades of that colour as you want though.

You can mail me, but as you have the theme it isn't essential tbh

My mind has gone completely blank... I have no ideas whatsoever!

PeachyClair · 13/01/2007 11:41

have a browse of a few craft sites for ideas- they ahd daisies, rabbits, sheep, doves, rompers, etc on the one I looked at. And you can always look at the word cobnbotations too- white = putrity, innocence etc.

Don't forget you can do a new baby card, or maybe a sillhouette card...... I hear you like those

OP posts:
Whizzz · 13/01/2007 11:43

cobnbotations what a great word !

(working on necklace by the way Peachy!)

Whizzz · 13/01/2007 11:44

Soup - did you used to wear clogs as a child ?

SoupDragon · 13/01/2007 11:51

Do you know what, Whizzz... I've got none of the clog paper left! I can't find any of it!

And on a completely unrelated note, I'm just wrapping your star light...

SoupDragon · 13/01/2007 11:52

I may attempt my first ever scrap book page. Lord knows I have enough "childhood" related photos to choose from!

Fillyjonk · 13/01/2007 14:36

ok

i hope i can get my act together to do this cos it looks fun.

Am trying to decide between photo/drawing/sewing/knitting. maybe all of them. heck why not

Oh AND (and I prmise I'll go away and start making the naffing thing now but, so I am ABSOLUTELY sure,) which of the following combinations are ok

  1. white + black
  1. white and black and shades of grey (on basis that black is a shade of grey)
  1. white and black and shades of pink
  1. white, black, grey and shades of pink

sorry i am aswking all these questions but this is my first ever challenge and i will be sad if i balls it up

Whizzz · 13/01/2007 14:49

I think it is white + one other colour/shades of the same colour.

So white + black/grey would be ok but white, black + pink would be a no-no

If its a black & white photo, then you would have to use black & white 'stuff' to 'craft it up' !!

Is that right Peachy ?? or will you allow white + one colour + shades & black text / outlines ??

littlerach · 13/01/2007 14:51

Cor, Im glad that you lot are asking all of these questions rhather than me.
So I can just read the answers and appear really knowledgeable .

So I suppose I have to get dh to teac me how to do the photo-onto-website bit...hmmm.

MerlinsBeard · 13/01/2007 14:52

i took it to mean that white was the main colour and then 1 other colour could be used so if you used black then u could use greysas that is shades of black

junkinmytrunk · 13/01/2007 14:53

Is anyone knitting something for their challenge?

Fillyjonk · 13/01/2007 14:56

that us good

but how will you scrappers do text if no black?

is that a hugely ignorant question?

i might partially knit something. i can't quite decide, actually.

MerlinsBeard · 13/01/2007 14:58

text can be any colour in scrapbooking

Fillyjonk · 13/01/2007 14:58

(oh and is sparkly silver a shade of black? )

do you know, when i was at school, i always sat at the front of the class so the teacher could see my waving hand very very clearly...

Whizzz · 13/01/2007 15:28

I suppose silver is a shade of grey

( Peachy might come along in a min though & shout at me for giving duff advice )

SoupDragon · 13/01/2007 16:47

I think Peachy implied if you're using a photo it's exempt from the colour restriction. You can use the photo and then the rest is one colour + white.

SoupDragon · 13/01/2007 16:48

If it's just a photo though, it should probably be black & white (and shades of grey ).

PeachyClair · 13/01/2007 18:18

SoupDragon · 13/01/2007 18:26

So, is the phot part of a scrapbppk page exempt from the "one colour plus white" rule or have I got to reprint my photos in a rather unnatural shade of yellow?
