yes, but haven't started anything as yet. had an idea to make my mum, mil, sil x 3, brooches. gots loads of nice coloured felt, beads buttons etc so wanted to make them each a flower corsage type thing. must be mad!.

before i finished work i designed 3 rag doll kits, one was called lucy (after dd - i am not really lucykate, dd is ), keep meaning to make one up for her but still not got round to it. must do it before she grows out of the doll phase.

I made this rag doll for dd a few years ago- it turned out so nicely, and I made a few of the outfits too

I have made my MIL a flower basket shawl for Christmas, and will be doing a lace wrap for my mother and maybe (yet another) hat for poor stepdd...

I can't wait to see your clay elves (or were they trolls?), Fillyjonk. How many do you have to make?

FillyjonkthePumpkinEater · 26/10/2006 21:06

I will thank you not to speak of my elves on this thread, jackie

one crisis at a time pls.

Sorry Molesworth - got hijacked by bathtime etc and then made another necklace!!!

A friend has started making them and we bought beads last week and she got me started today. It's long and is various shades and types of purple, grey and silver beads. Meets in the middle with one huge square bead and then has two little dangly bits - my powers of description are amazing no?

Did another one tonight in black, gray and clear glass. (That's Mum sorted!!)

BloodyTenaLady · 26/10/2006 21:13

Ive potted up my apple chutney and also some apple and blackcurrant jam. Need to practice on some peanut toffee brittle. Just giving these to the adults this year.

Molesworth · 26/10/2006 21:41

I'm loving the sound of your necklaces!

TooTickyTheAppleBobber · 26/10/2006 21:46

Clay elves? What have I missed?

JackieNoHeadJustABloodyStump · 26/10/2006 21:53

omg, Fillyjonk - 40. It's for the game she's making for her DH, TooTicky. Can't say that knitting them sounds any easier.

TooTickyTheAppleBobber · 26/10/2006 21:55

I am thoroughly intrigued!

JackieNoHeadJustABloodyStump · 26/10/2006 22:13

TooTicky, this thread might explain.

Whizzz · 26/10/2006 22:16

I am mad on knitting fluffy scarves at the mo & will make some earrings & necklaces hopefully too

pointyfangedWeredog · 26/10/2006 22:22

Clay elves? You mean garden gnomes?

eidsvold · 26/10/2006 22:22

making white choc cranberry fudge and rocky road for dd1's teachers and therapists - just put it in some nice bowls/plates. Cross stitch the cards

Not panicking but need to get on with the cards - very busy month ahead and everything needs to be ready for early December when everything breaks up for summer holidays.

misdee · 26/10/2006 22:24

doll making is not sad. honestly its not.

says me who has spent the last 2 evenings restoring dolls.

DastardlyDevilishDior · 27/10/2006 08:09

I once made a load of truffles for Christmas dinner at the in-laws' house. Step MIL brought them out after dinner, we all had one and then she spirited them away for private consumption at a later date! They cost a blooming fortune to make and were not actually intended as a present for her

does makign a dolls house from a kit count? I thought it would be all ready to sort of push together, but all it is is several pieces of mdf with pieces semi pressed out, and it looks scary! I haven't dared get it out of the car yet!

FillyjonkthePumpkinEater · 27/10/2006 10:53

no they are not frigging garden gnomes

at least i dont think so

fio-wherewherewhere cheap rowan?

FillyjonkthePumpkinEater · 27/10/2006 10:54
