I have a couple of websites that I use but I'm quite new at sewing and am looking for recommendations for good, reliable fabric websites. Thanks.

Have you looked at Minera Crafts? They have a massive selection, including some viscose. They also have a bloggers network which is good for inspiration and if you see something you like made by one of the bloggers then you can buy a kit (fabric, thread, zips etc) to replicate.

Sorry, that should read Minerva Crafts

I waiting for a fabric rehab delivery thanks to this thread...
Spent a bit too much but couldn't resist.

Thanks for the Minerva recommendation.
I'm kicking myself to have missed the Anna Maria Horner Feathered fabric. I could get some fromthe USA but it costs as much to post as it does to buy . Someone really ought to have a word with the buyers in John Lewis haberdashery.

Marking place as this is exactly what I was about to ask!

MarthasHarbour · 29/01/2014 21:59

Never mind marking place - I now have this on my watch list!! Grin

Thanks for all the signposts- just had a look at several of the websites. There goes my vow to try and use up some of my enormous fabric stash first!!!

I'm a bit disappointed with fabric rehab. I placed an order after reading this thread on the 23rd Jan and I'm still waiting. The emailed on the 30th Jan to tell me one of the fabrics was out of stick and would this alternative do? I emailed back yes and they said it would be dispatched on the 31st and to allow 5 working days for delivery. Maybe I'm just impatient but I'd have expected service to be a little quicker. I'll try plush addition next I think.

Addict not addition!

HectorVector · 03/02/2014 10:35

My fabric rehab arrived this morning. So 7 working days after order, I suppose that's not too bad. I think I'm just impatient because I really want to start my project. :)
