I couldn't help myself. It meant I got free shipping (from Nepal! To arrive within a week!) which would otherwise have cost me £47...
Plus that amount of felt from the UK would have been at least £1146... so technically I've actually saved nearly £1200 right?! Confused

Plus it is 100% wool, handmade, ethically made and sourced toxic free felt...

(I'm probably not going to tell my OH by the way...)

I'm pretty sure the rug Kirsty ,Made was 3mm

Will take a photo as soon as I get it! Having it delivered to OH at work so tackle him everytime he comes through the door!

Angry A bit of a teaser thread.

I've had fabric envy in the past, but this is my first episode of felt envy. Grin

DoesntTurkeyNSproutSoupDragOn · 18/12/2012 14:35

Nooooooo!

NotAChocolateRaisin · 18/12/2012 16:10

I can't wait to get home!!! It's actually a factor in my decision to leave me job early (sad) to go and see it!

Hmmmm.... Did your OH deliberately hold it back until you'd gone away?

NotAChocolateRaisin · 18/12/2012 17:39

I hope not! I'd be furious!

Home and taken some pictures (came home early v. excited!)

Photos are crap but will post up the links if I sell them online when I'll take professional pictures.

Plus, its 11 in the evening - who takes a decent photo then?

Oooohh...

What are you going to do with it?

It looks too soft for a rug - the stuff Kirstie used was much firmer I think.

Xmas Envy Smile

NotAChocolateRaisin · 19/12/2012 22:08

Cut pieces

Better photo (ish) this time.

This is literally 1/117th of my new felt stash! (This is the inital stuff I'm selling off i think)

Annianni · 20/12/2012 09:04

I've got fabric envy....

I watched kitsty and the fabric did seem a bit stiffer.

Annianni · 20/12/2012 09:10

Oh that selina rose site is lovely.

I could spend a fortune :o

Annianni · 20/12/2012 09:11

kirsty... stupid phone...

BRANdishingMistletoe · 20/12/2012 10:34

What does it feel like? Is it thick and stiff and suitable for something like bag making or is it soft enough for crafting. Just thinking about my possible sewing club at the DC's school. I notice on your link that they also do polyester felt very cheaply, which might be easier to work with for kids.

DoesntTurkeyNSproutSoupDragOn · 20/12/2012 13:28

Ooooh.... it looks more rustic than the uniform shop bought stuff in the UK.

Very nice!

DoesntTurkeyNSproutSoupDragOn · 20/12/2012 13:29

You know how Kirstie's rug had the holes in it... you could punch a pattern in the top layer and sandwich it together with a brightly coloured one underneath...

NotAChocolateRaisin · 20/12/2012 17:40

It's stiff enough for a bag definitely. That's what I'm making with it.

Will pm you the link as soon as I've listed, yuleheart

The OP made me laugh, then I read on and found myself drooling slightly...3mm thick...no wonder you got carried away!
