What are you knitting? What should I do next?

I am a beginner/intermediate, hate sewing up.

I have just done a hat for me - Whistler Beanie from a Sublime book, and a baby beanie , Rosey Posie Beanie , also Sublime.

I have a huge stash of DK yarns of varying niceness. Lots of small people patterns and books.

So, another baby hat?
Bootees - not done those before.
A toddler hat knitted in the round? I have a set of circs and some DPNs for Christmas and Itty Bitty Hats book but have been too chicken to try knitting in the round yet
this Pixie hat ?
Or these cute bunnies

What do you reckon?

I was just about the recommend the Puerperium cardigan but I see kellestar beat me to it! I've just finished one in DK weight and now I'm making one in 4ply.
The free pattern is for DK only but if you buy the pattern (can't remember how much but not a lot) then it's got sizes newborn-2years and in 4 ply, DK and Aran yarn. Plus there are 3 different sleeve options. I can see myself knitting a lot of these! It's a lovely simple pattern but makes something quite unusual looking.

I've knitted a BSJ if you have any questions:

Here's my one

I've knitted DS quite a few jumpers. My favourite was Gavin

Also toys are quite fun to knit rocket was a very quick knit.

Don't knit bootees though as I don't know anyone who actually uses them!

The Puerperium Cardigan is very cute. Got lots of lovely ideas to wade through. May see if I have enough of one single yarn to do it - I think I have several hanks of Style craft Organic twist but it might be too fluffy. Definately got some Sublime Cashmere Merino silk in Buff and probably Periwinkle.

It might look nice in Smiley Stripes, got 3 x balls of that too, in crackerjack. Will need to check yardage though.

The Gavyn is gorgeous, knitter. Just going to check the link again to see what yarn it's in. Because I need a new project....Blush

Waves back at Knitter How are you doing?

kellestar · 15/02/2012 20:39

I've just done a pair of bootees on request, but I really didn't like doing them, fiddly sewing up.

DutchOma she has a few other free patterns that are brilliant, scapulae is a similar knit, but has ribbing on the collar, button band and sleeves added on later, so it's still got some sewing up, but it's been a quick knit for DD.

I've also done a newborn vertebrae ready for some summer baby's as it's quick and no seams.

This Aviatrix Hat is also a nice knit with little seaming and sewing up. It also looks very cute on.

As ever, I am in awe at the range of incredibly creative patterns and beautiful yarns that are out there. Damn you knitting designers!
