JM you were right. I have just posted a new baby card in the 'all new' gallery. Just by looking at it you can see that these letters are massive. Not good at all for smaller cards. Are all of the sizzlet alphabets so huge or are any of yours smaller. For the record if anyone wants some letters made up then cat me. Needs to be an A5 card though for long names or a short one ie Sam for a smaller card.

are you happy with the style, UCM? It sounded like you were getting worried while you were waiting for them.

UCM · 09/11/2005 21:29

The style is lovely, it's just that (major whinge) they are soooooo big. Trying to get a greeting or the name Wilhemina (tee hee)on a card is impossible. Look at the new baby one in the gallery and you will see. I think they are better for scrapbooking. New Baby takes up most of the card.

They are lovely BUT I told you they were on the large side and not the most ideal choice for cardmaking.....great for LO's though.
Try Girls are Weird....great for card making...excellent value
because each seperate die has four versions of the letter.
You could always try and exchange them with beanie buddy??? Is that who you got them off?

UCM · 09/11/2005 22:50

Yes. Not really willing to lose money over them though. Would he exchange?

Im sure he says on his site if not satisfied he will replace.you'd just have addtional postage but at least you would then have dies that you would use.
I made a couple of fabby christmas cards yesterday just using the girls are weird...will post them tomorrow cus Im on the laptop now and cant get to the desk top as DH decided at 9.30pm tonight to take down our ceiling in the dinning roomand I cant climb over the mess and debris whilst on me crutches neither can I get into my workroom because he boarded the glass door up to stop it getting smashed whilst he ruins my house

UCM · 09/11/2005 23:32

Oh Shit, sorry forgot you are disabled at the mo. Hope your leg is healing well. xx

Crutches will come in handy to hit DH over the head with if he doesnt stop banging and starts cleaning up his bloomin mess...I can feel a rant coming on

UCM · 09/11/2005 23:51

are the GAW ones alot smaller then?

OP posts:
jayzmummy · 10/11/2005 00:24

Yes!
They are about 3/4inch tall and you cant fit then nicely on a card.

not excellent piccies but heres one I made earlier
and another

UCM · 10/11/2005 00:37

Are those letters on A5?

kiwibelle · 10/11/2005 09:00

also had a bit of a nosey... aren't your boys' efforts fab! I really liked Jack's 'King of the Jungle'.

jayzmummy · 10/11/2005 15:27

UCM...they are on A5. You can fit loads onto an A5 card. I'd try emailing and saying that you made a mistake and the letters are far to large...see what he says. If you get no joy then you could always try selling them on UK Scrappers or another forum???

Kiwi....the boys stuff is what they made for the cyber challenge over on UKS during half term.
They are well into scrapping now and both want scrapbook stuff for christmas.

anorak · 10/11/2005 15:37

I have a lollipop set but it's full dies, not sizzlits. The letters are 1 - 2 inches tall.

kiwibelle · 10/11/2005 20:29

hubby's big daughter is coming over for Christmas too. I'm thinking about getting both girls a set and some bits so they can spend some time putting together some of their fav pics from their (short) time together. I have just discovered that friend, and her husband (!!), both scrapbook so will be enlisting their guidance with the girls.

UCM · 11/11/2005 00:16

The letters are 1-2" inches tall with a Sizzlet 'Funky Brush'.

oooops

hullabaloo · 11/11/2005 21:43

Hi everyone. I'm a bit of a lurker on the arts and crafts pages. I dabble a bit but just for fun and family. I can't believe what a talented bunch you all are! JM I LOVED your cards especially your ballerina bunnies! Do you make the bunnies yourself or do you buy the bits to put on your cards? I was so impressed by your boys work too. A major proud Mummy moment I'll bet!

jayzmummy · 11/11/2005 23:51

I buy the bunnies from a wholesaler and fix them to the card with little magnets so they can be removed after the birthday is over. They are by far my best seller.

UCM · 12/11/2005 20:21

JM do you make your own dolly ones?

OP posts:
UCM · 14/11/2005 22:40

Bump

OP posts:
jayzmummy · 14/11/2005 23:57

which dolly ones??? Do you mean the sizzix ones??

GoodQueenWenceslas · 15/11/2005 00:05

No the fairy ones. I have been experimenting with fimo recently and I wondered if you made them or bought them.
