JM you were right. I have just posted a new baby card in the 'all new' gallery. Just by looking at it you can see that these letters are massive. Not good at all for smaller cards. Are all of the sizzlet alphabets so huge or are any of yours smaller. For the record if anyone wants some letters made up then cat me. Needs to be an A5 card though for long names or a short one ie Sam for a smaller card.

The fairy is made with sizzix.

Ive made some fairy fimo cards too but they arent in the gallery because Im selling them faster than I can make em

Rolled flesh coloured fimo into ball and flattened it, baked. Used raffia for hair and cheap fabric for dress. Used rope for legs/arms and they look fab. Was wondering because it cost me about ...... per dolly.

jayzmummy · 15/11/2005 00:11

where you buying your fimo from???
How much are you paying???

GoodQueenWenceslas · 15/11/2005 15:26

1.50 a pack

kiwibelle · 15/11/2005 17:57

ok... hope this isn't a stupid question BUT... GQW, do you attach the string and raffia after baking the fimo or before. I'm just trying to imagine it done.

jayzmummy · 15/11/2005 18:01

GoodQueenWenceslas · 15/11/2005 19:25

I will post a pic of the dollies on mumsnet gallery undertechniques.

GoodQueenWenceslas · 15/11/2005 19:41

Hi I have put the pics on Techniques. There is a pic of mad looking raffia. This a good tip. If you want raffia or string to go curly. Wrap it round a knitting needle spray it with hairspray. Put oven on at some point before until hot. Turn oven off and put the needles in until it cools down. It produced the effect pictured. Haven't quite got the consistency right yet but I am impressed. I wrapped around kebab wooden sticks.

You stick the raffia on afterwards.

Bake the fimo on gas 1 for about 20 mins.

Oh and I used DS tape to stick on the 'hair'

....on the feast of Stephen, when the snow lay round about......singing merrily as I have 3 days until my stall. Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh

Of to watch the rest of Stenders now.
