Had mine done Sunday afternoon (ultrasound direct) and the wait is just torturous . Wondered if anyone else is currently in the same situation

I'm not currently, but was fairly recently. My combined screen surprisingly came back as low risk (I'm 46!) so I had the Harmony test to be sure. I think it took 3 working days. What's your situation? Are you finding out the sex too?

FT2001 · 11/10/2022 15:49

@Beachsidesunset I was given low risk but the risk in general was pretty high for my age (22), 1.3mm NT , 0.51 PAPPA , 2.21 BHCG quite high which could explain the sickness. I am struggling with the wait so hoping to get some positive news soon. Yes finding out sex, does this take longer?

No, it all comes at the same time. What was your combined risk result?

FT2001 · 11/10/2022 19:41

@Beachsidesunset 1 in 1300 what about you ?

My Downs risk was 1:939 and Edwards/Patau 1:38,628. I asked the midwife to phone them back and double check! Your NT result is great, I'm sure your NIPT will come back low risk. It's a worrying time though xx

FT2001 · 12/10/2022 09:51

@Beachsidesunset thank you fingers crossed! hope you have a stress free healthy rest of your pregnancy, and congratulations 😘

@FT2001 im also waiting for NIPT results to come back, had them last Wednesday but just been told due to postal strikes I won’t get results back until Monday next week! My pregnancy is classed as high risk due to our nt of 4.5, I’m only 24. Keeping positive though, hope you are too during these worrying times x

Mimmi22 · 12/10/2022 13:18

Yes, had my NIPT on Monday via the hospital after a very high risk for Down Syndrome from combined screening. It’s a horrendous wait isn’t it?

All was straightforward with my last pregnancy so I never saw this coming.

Id say the odds are definitely in your favour with your results though, so fingers crossed.

Mimmi22 · 12/10/2022 13:33

@Frenchie1204 oh crap, didn’t know about the postal strikes. That makes the wait all the worse doesn’t it? Hope you are feeling okay.

My NT was 3.3 - not flagged during the scan but still on the higher end of the scale I believe.

FT2001 · 12/10/2022 13:42

@Frenchie1204 @Mimmi22 the wait seems endless doesn't it, hopefully before too long we will all get the all clear results we are waiting for. Lots of love to you both 😘

@FT2001 No not yet, although the midwife told me they are predicted to arrive today by their online portal. I’ve asked them to email them to me as I can’t deal with the ideal of getting the phone call. Not sure checking emails will be any better mind you! Any word on yours yet? Hope you’re feeling okay!!

@Frenchie1204 good luck with yours too <3

FT2001 · 17/10/2022 11:11

@Mimmi22 Nothing as of yet I have rung them to ask and they said they'll chase it up. Hoping i get good news soon! Good luck hope everything goes well, fingers crossed xx

Mimmi22 · 17/10/2022 15:13

Got my results through this afternoon and all 3 have also come through as low risk!! Big relief here to not have to think about this any further at this point.

I was actually 1 in 5 high chance for Down Syndrome so was very fixated on that high chance. Very pleased to have be a good outcome stat on the board now for anyone else with worrying odds.

@FT2001 hoping you find out soon x

Frenchie1204 · 17/10/2022 16:04

@Mimmi22 thats great news congratulations! I think the nhs combined screening can be a little vague imo. Hope the rest of your pregnancy is worry free and any excitement lost comes flooding back in xx
