The threads are EVERYWHERE. My children are practically elderly. I just don't care, alright?

AIBU?

Nah...just hide the threads.

expatinscotland · 25/06/2010 21:10

YANBU.

My kids are past it, too.

I'm more concerned about bullying, schools, learning disabilities, affording lessons/clothes/shoes, etc.

Tee2072 · 25/06/2010 21:11

I don't care either. Breastfeed, don't breastfeed, just stop talking about it already!!

Happybutknackered · 25/06/2010 21:12

Well don't look at them then. Just because it's not relevant to you doesn't mean it's not to others.

Tidey · 25/06/2010 21:12

Agree. Whatever your opinion, it's going to upset or offend someone, so why not take a deep breath and not post?

Mingg · 25/06/2010 21:12

Why would not caring make you unreasonable?

runnybottom · 25/06/2010 21:12

YANBU. I am currently breastfeeding and could not give a crap about it. Actually I'm currently drinking wine while baby sleeps, but you know what I mean.

Its just such a dull topic, isn't it? Are you breastfeeding...oh well done, have a medal. Are you not, well fair fucks to you as well love, hears one for you too.
Major fucking yawn.

2shoes · 25/06/2010 21:13

yanbu

DramaInPyjamas · 25/06/2010 21:13

I don't care. And I didn't care when my children were babies either. I just fed them. End of.

LilQueenie · 25/06/2010 21:15

YANBU and thank god they are ditching the breast is best slogan.

PortiaNovmerriment · 25/06/2010 21:16

And I care even less if someone off the telly does it or not. Harrumph.

"Major Fucking Yawn". I so agree. I blocked the breastfeeding section years ago but it seeps in to lots of other areas (bit graphic but ykwim)

AnyFuleKno · 25/06/2010 21:21

You might not be, but there are lots of people on here (hundreds maybe?) to whom it's foremost in their mind at the moment. I was one of them. Not any more, but thank goodness for mumsnet breastfeeding threads. I'm not interested in threads about nannies or teenagers or horses or forces sweethearts or boden or reusable nappies but there's lots here I am interested in.

YABVU

Francagoestohollywood · 25/06/2010 21:21

YANBU.

tethersend · 25/06/2010 21:22

I didn't bf because I didn't want to. Not because I didn't get enough support or the right information. I just tried it and didn't like it. Might try it again with another one. Might not. Depends how I feel.

Right now I couldn't give a flying fuck, so YASoooNBU.

DanJARMouse · 25/06/2010 21:22

serious yawn!

As long as you are feeding your baby does it REALLY matter how?

Ive done both, and funnily enough have gorgeous little kids now, who really couldnt care less how they were fed as babies.

How often as an adult do you think about whether or not you were BF or FF?!

DramaInPyjamas · 25/06/2010 21:23

Oh yeah. Going on and on about a FICTIONAL tv character breastfeeding/not breastfeeding. Get a fucking life!

expatinscotland · 25/06/2010 21:24

I blocked the section years ago, too.

Meh.

AnyFuleKno · 25/06/2010 21:24

bloody hell, tolerant much? This is mumsnet, are you really surprised to see threads about breastfeeding? Why not visit golfers world website instead, I'd say there's very few conversations about it on there.

foureleven · 25/06/2010 21:25

eurghhh YANBU and a 'fucking yawn' for good measure.

Lulumaam · 25/06/2010 21:27

YANBU no, to not personally care

but lots of women do

for many , breastfeeding is a political issue and whether a tv character breastfeeds.. and if they don't and the reasons perpetuate myths and untruths about breastfeeding, why should it not be discussed and challenged?

my DCs are 10 and 4, i did not breastfeed, but care very much about the issue.

foureleven · 25/06/2010 21:28

And why is breastfeeding such a hot topic and so many people are ready to jump on and criticise those that dont but it seems to be considered cool and funny to 'boast' about not having time to cook fresh food for your family and how fast food and freezer food is ok blah blah

So as long as you breatfeeds for 6 mths you can feed your kids crap for ever more afterwards...

hides thread.

PortiaNovmerriment · 25/06/2010 21:28

You don't count, Lulumaam, you are too fucking nice and reasonable, ok?
