I am SO frustrated on her behalf.

Why don't you lazy tikes read through threads before jumping in to judge?

OP posts:
GypsyMoth · 22/03/2010 23:04

has she come back?? she ha gone early in the thread last i saw

Heracles · 22/03/2010 23:05

What?? She's on £55k? Why didn't she say so? Fucking cow.

Note: I may not have read the entire thread title

donkeyderby · 22/03/2010 23:06

Yeah, Heracles. And she expects a fucking council house. Fucking cheek of it

OP posts:
justsue · 22/03/2010 23:07

grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

IntoTheGroove · 22/03/2010 23:09

I did read the last one and I know this, but really who cares now, ffs let it go. (And how is starting a new thread about this going to help anyone understand???)

LadyBiscuit · 22/03/2010 23:11

She is only entitled to £50 WTC a month (were they not paying back an overpayment) which means her partner is earning around £50k. Actually

justsue · 22/03/2010 23:16

Eveyone in life gets what they deserve, if she gets a council house, then so what. Will it really affect your life. No so why worry over it.

Monty100 · 22/03/2010 23:37

No way are they earning £50k if they get that in tax credits. I get £40 a month and don't earn anywhere near that!

ObsidianBlackbirdMcNight · 23/03/2010 08:20

4 kids, one under 1, and only £50 a month TCs? They are earning plenty. On a combined income of £30k with one child DH and I got £80 a month.

I also fail to see the point of this thread. Are you her?

I'd be more than happy to switch incomes and they can have this damp-ridden council house.

teaandcakeplease · 23/03/2010 08:45

I'm worried for her tbh as she's going to end up homeless. But I agree OP lots of people didn't read thread properly before replying. I didn't reply as I couldn't offer anymore than some people had already said but I genuinely feel sorry for her as she's so worried.

Hope she finds a solution soon.

I have 2 children, one is under 1. Our combined income for the year was £24k, with an average £35 per week childcare (I am on maternity leave for part of the eligible year) so our award includes a small amount of childcare element. We get just under £100 per week.

porcamiseria · 23/03/2010 14:10

i feel sorry for her , but kind of annoyed too. why the fuck did they allow themselves to get into this situation. I know people say "there but for the grace of god" but I cant help feel cross for her kids

LittleMrsHappy · 23/03/2010 14:13

People should read threads correctly, she is getting nothing from tax credits, as they over paid her, and the money she was entitled to, she is not getting as it is paying the over payment!

I feel sorry for her also, her situation is dire, and I would not like to be in her position when she needs to carry her belongings and her 4 children in tow to the council office.

morningpaper · 23/03/2010 14:15

this is annoying

YOU are the Lazy Tike

Her partner IS earning around 50k

READ THE THREAD

I am angry on ermmm the behalf of people who can add up

BigBadMummy · 23/03/2010 14:17

I hate threads like this.

If you haven't seen the original thread how the hell can you have any idea what the hell they are about?

I am in and out of MN all day but I still miss hundreds of threads.

It makes MN turn into some kind of cliquey group behind the bike sheds that only the cool girls are in on.

Did she admit then that her partner was on £50k?

Sorry that thread is far too long now and I need to start preparing my dinner.

I sort of understand why they left it. I was advised by the council to do the same thing to my landlord once when they were having trouble organising my claim for HB. T'is the only way they would rehouse me.

What I don't understand though is why she can't just rent privately. Clearly she can afford to and I have lived in enough rented houses to know that the vast majorioty of private landlords do not credit check. If she can't find any she can't ahve looked very hard.

pagwatch · 23/03/2010 14:23

I didn't read the thread.

I can't do the maths.

I don't really care.

I have no real opinion on either this thread or the previous one
Except that I want to just go on it and post

"FFS - I have just realised you earn £55,000""

LittleMrsHappy · 23/03/2010 15:17

Morning paper, Ive read the thread also, and she says her partner no where near earns 55K and that's on the 1st page!

She then later says, what Ive written above ]

So Unless Ive missed a post, I cannot see where she says her H, EARNS 55k

LadyBiscuit · 23/03/2010 15:27

I think if you have 4 kids with one under 1 and you earn £50k, you're entitled to £45 a month TC. So if they're getting £50, then I suspect her DH doesn't earn significantly less than that. 'Nowhere near' £55k might mean he earns £45k. It's not exactly on the breadline

morningpaper · 23/03/2010 15:29

What Ladybiscuit says

LittleMrsHappy · 23/03/2010 15:31

LadyB she will be entitled to more as she will get the child under one element also.

I think if her dh paying a mortgage of 1200pm it will be a substantial wage, as she has other bills to pay also x
