I have been QOTW once and in the round up only once.

Housemum · 05/03/2010 22:47

I have never been in QOTW or round-up. I know my place...

MamaG · 06/03/2010 06:40

I've never been QOTW

cocolepew · 06/03/2010 09:01

That's my girl, cyb [proud]

Boco · 06/03/2010 11:14

I have been quote of the week once or twice, but not since my humour fell off in March 09. Maybe my settings are wrong.

Ledodgy · 06/03/2010 13:38

This is a nasty thread to start isn't it?

I think i've been quote of the week once and it was about anal bleaching.

I did make the round up a few months ago when I'd stepped back from MN a bit and was only on one thread. I was quite proud I was quoted when it was all i'd said on here in a week.

Casserole · 06/03/2010 14:27

I'm sad the shouting seems to have stopped. I was going to say DENTINOX.

GetOrfMoiLand · 06/03/2010 15:26

I LIKE COD . Quite frankly she has a genius for creating threads which really work on this site and get everyone talking.

And she is mostly very funny.

Mind you also think that TDWP is great as well.

scottishmummy · 06/03/2010 15:31

starting a thread about liking/disliking posters is lame

bibbitybobbityhat · 06/03/2010 15:32

How do you all know how many times you've been in the roundup? Do you make a mark in a little book?

Have to confess I don't always even read the talk roundup (sorry ) because it gets lost in the gazillion emails from Amazon/Homebase/Ocado/DoggingSitesInTheSouthEast etc.

I ndon't always read "Round -up" either - I did this week but tbh can't honestly be bothered about who was at the party and who wasn't - just glad it was a success. Tbh - Cod has been posting here an awfully long time - maybe she's a personal friend of one of the MN team. Certainly nothing to get knickers in a twist about.

Oh and well done to all the Haiku winners.

NeedsWillWhenBarrattBuilds · 06/03/2010 15:40

Cod is kind, Cod is funny, oh Lord is she funny.

DWP You could learn a lot from her.

She would even find it in her heart to be nice to someone as chippy and bitter as you.

Bucharest · 06/03/2010 15:44

I can't go to work on Friday afternoon if round-up hasn't been published.....it's a superstitious thing....

I don't know Cod, but have learned to find her in her many guises.

Getorf don't you like meeeeee? Because I stalk you round threads, I know if you're there, they are likely to be vairrr funny and end up with us talking about Delia peeing in the backgarden.

I don't do parties, so wouldn't have gone even if was MN royalty.

JeremyVile · 06/03/2010 15:46

I'm intrigued re Boco and her declining humour...

So Boco, what was going on with you around March 09? When you think back to that time, what do you feel?

ApplesinmyPocket · 06/03/2010 15:48

I did want to meet Cod, but you had to take a ticket and wait your turn like at the delicatessen, and my number never got called - Gordon did monopolise her rather

I think she's funny and cruel and probably quite kind. Though I have probably insulted her now and blown my chances - kind, what!

snigger · 06/03/2010 15:56

What are the accepted criteria for having passed ones MN probation?

I'd always understood it to be post deletion/Round-up/QOTW/Thread mention in Parenting News/Tip of the week.

I still need a deletion, a QOTW, and a Tip.

This is worse than chasing orange pie in Trivial Pursuit.

MamaG · 06/03/2010 15:59

i justneed qotw and tehn I can shout "crackerjack" (or something)

GetOrfMoiLand · 06/03/2010 16:04

Oh Bucharest I do love you as well! We do tend to follow each other roiund threads agreeing with one another!

I have had post deletion, round up, quote of the week, but never had a thread or a tip of the week (never even knew there was such a thing as tip of the week).

Bucharest · 06/03/2010 16:04

Oh, I need a parenting tip.

Not likely to happen this side of the next millenium. I'm a bit seat of me pants when it comes to that.

Bucharest · 06/03/2010 16:08

y'see, we are channelling each other.....

MollieO · 06/03/2010 16:43

I think it was a surprising inclusion on the round up. I recall all the issue before when Justine accidentally outed the existence of the Mouldie alternative group. Some long time posters on here were very very upset at the whole business of being or not being invited to join and then not being accepted (there was a voting system in place).

I will always remember reading the profile of someone who thought they should have been accepted but wasn't. That rejection mattered to that person and made them feel very sad, according to what they wrote. For those people who were rejected and not part of whatever the mouldie group it must have been like having a group of friends who suddenly start meeting up without you and deliberately excluding you.

Whatever the reasons for the alternative group it was very badly handled by both MN and the people who left and very divisive.

Having been a member since 2004 although not a particularly active poster there is no one who has left that I miss. I think MN is better without all the cliques or 'quiches' and all the nauseating fawning that used to go on a lot, less so now.

morningpaper · 06/03/2010 16:46

What was a surprising inclusion on the roundup?

MamaG · 06/03/2010 17:08

I always remember my Tip

it was "if your DH fancies breakfast in bed, chuck a sleeping bag on the kitchen floor"
