Grape Pizza?

Rosebud05 · 10/12/2009 21:44

This has been bugging me for weeks and as the number of CBBs threads have increased with the darker evenings, I feel amongst kindred spirits.
Do people actually eat grape pizza? Was there nothing else in the CBBs kitchen the day they had to make that truly appalling filler? Will Katie stun us all with a fruit cocktail pizza one day?
Your thoughts please (if you're as desperately sad as I).

Aw bless

Katy you are lovely

Was a bit surprised by the Dubai face painting though, a bit far from her home town non?

notanumber · 10/12/2009 22:23

B-b-but....She can't bloody sing!

"Head Female Vocalist for their jazz orchestra" ?

CatIsSleepy · 10/12/2009 22:24

she sure is a busy lass
and, apparently, doesn't hate children

seems to hate good food though judging by most of the recipes on that program

CatIsSleepy · 10/12/2009 22:25

'Katy's original songs which she sings and plays on her guitar.'

oh god did she write that slippy dippy soap hand-washing song?

annabelcaramel · 10/12/2009 22:28

Perhaps an addendum is needed. 'Katy USED to be a good singer until a prolonged diet of grape pizza made her suddenly lose her vocal prowess.'

jujubean · 10/12/2009 22:28

Ah so its not just me that thought grape pizza was a bit blinking weird. I also don't understand why the children wash thier hands as they start the show then all go down the allotment to find a carrot and get them dirty again.

morningpaper · 10/12/2009 22:29

I love her songs
They go like this
Yeah we've got an oven
And some grapes in a dish
Let's cook pizza oooh yeahh
With our hands
and errrmmmmm our oven
yeahhhh

Poor Katy, it can't be very exciting, and she has to sing it all sitting on a giant courgette.

morningpaper · 10/12/2009 22:30

Oh the CARROTS

they got all these shit carrots from the allotment and THEN used massive phallic monsters that had clearly just come from Tescos

annabelcaramel · 10/12/2009 22:34

From Dubai to a beanbag cauliflower.

morningpaper · 10/12/2009 22:39

It's the perfect illustration of our ailing economy

NormalityBites · 10/12/2009 22:40

YANBU

I find her and her recipes completely vile. You can't put grapes on a pizza. Vom.

DD likes her but I make her turn it off and repeat 'Mummy is the best cook in the world' ten times instead and then we go and cook something edible instead.

morningpaper · 10/12/2009 22:48

I must admit that my DD loves her A LOT

"When can I go to see Katy?" she asks me every time which I find strangely depressing

AliBellandthe40jingles · 10/12/2009 23:04

It is a hideous show. The songs are awful - if she wrote them herself then why not at least pick a key she can sing in rather than squeaking away at the very top of her register?

Mandy1966 · 11/12/2009 10:29

Sitting here wmsl, youve brightened up my morning folks..

RichardCranium · 11/12/2009 11:26

Bloody hell. 23!! She had an uphill paper route!!

My mum and I had the same argument as Nancy and her DD. (Except I came over all irrational and we nearly ended up at blows)

Me - "why has she put grapes on that pizza?"
Mum - "no dear it was an olive"
Me - "it was a bloody grape"
Mum - "it was a green olive, no one puts grapes on a pizza love"
Me - "IT WAS A FUCKING GRAPE"

Me - "see!!"

Why we were watching it without the DC present I don't know.

AND I followed her cherry shortbread recipe with DD and they turned into cherry cookies!

Geocentric · 11/12/2009 11:30

Nothing to add... except that seeing as we don't have CBB... I am pmsl at the grapes on pizza!!!! (I think you might actually get arrested here in Brazil for pulling that stunt )

ChaosInCamelot · 11/12/2009 11:32

Did not see this programme, but have a fruity pizza recipe in a toddler cookbook. My dc's (who can be fussy), like pizza and fruits but when I tried this one out on them they were so confused! It just doesn't seem right somehow.

upahill · 11/12/2009 11:39

OHHHH! I had a fruity pizza on holiday in October. It had Mozerella cheese then apple, banana, pears, pineapple and something else might have been grapes and then baked obviously.
It was ok.

Geocentric · 11/12/2009 11:40

upahill - how drunk were you???

upahill · 11/12/2009 11:42

HAHA!!I wasn't but I'm a veggie and that was the best option. It's not always easy being a veggie abroad I'll have you know

Geocentric · 11/12/2009 11:44

I knew there had to be a good reason for it!!!

morningpaper · 11/12/2009 11:54

I have made the Cheese and Tomato Swirls and they were VERY VERY popular with the children

Admittedly it is just Baked Fat but still very popular both in the making and the eating

giraffespullthesleigh · 11/12/2009 12:07

Pineapple on pizza is lovely.

And cold cheese with grapes/apple is nice.

So I can maybe see along that logic...

Awassailinglookingforanswers · 11/12/2009 12:13

well i think it sounds vile.

And I don't really like the programme.......

BUT - it's not aimed at me - it's aimed at my children (who enjoy it) - so really I don't care.

I would be more concerned if all the grown-ups loved the programmes and the children hated them

Buddleja · 11/12/2009 12:19

I'm certain YANBU.

I've actually been traunatised since seeing this the first time I saw this. In fact (I don't know there names) I do think does whats-it HATE that other guy seeing he's making him eat it?
