Really daft question

I rarely get breakfast.

I have bought some cereal and I don't want DS1 to have it. Normally they do end up having what I have bought for DH and/or me but they have a cupboard full of their choices and I never refuse them food. They are well fed. I just want this cereal for me.

DS1 said if he can't have it will starve himself until he is sick.

Am I being U to say no for once?

I have Bran flakes...you'd be surprised how much some kids love Bran..lol..they are always trying to get at my Branflakes..and like you I have difficulty eating in the morning and I'm trying to break the habit..but they would eat them all if I left them to it!...

FabBakerGirlIsBack · 24/07/2009 17:41

Mine love bran flakes, or brown flakes as they are known here.

I don't have much, I am just trying to get some breakfast in the morning and this morning I had had enough of them always eating my food.

I don't blame you..it's hard enough to actually get yourself eating and then you are being badgered for your flakes ..don't worry...just keep going and he will come to terms

Sorry for insensitive posts FAB. No I'm not rude in RL. Really only concerned you're ok.

KIMItheThreadSlayer · 24/07/2009 20:07

FAB you are not being unreasonable or silly, tell him he can not have it and let that be the end of it, children have to learn that not everything in the world is for or about them

juuule · 24/07/2009 20:10

Why do you buy the kids one kind of cereal and you a different one even though the children like the same as you? Wouldn't it be easier to buy more of the same thing? Then you could have yours and they could have it too.

FabBakerGirlIsBack · 24/07/2009 20:13

I used to buy special K for me and then it is more for them as they liked it. They haven't had this one before but now they like it I will buy more I can't shop constantly and there are currently about 5 different cereals in the cupboards that they can eat and only one for me.
