I'm not ever so regular but I try to post when I can.. I've have asked a few qestions lately, but I've either had no responses or only one I'm ever so nice really. Am I being U or just uber sensitive?

Aw... link to one of your threads... I'll try and answer

shootfromthehip · 20/07/2009 17:38

I have this problem too- I come up with something really witty (I think) or I'm really down about something and then nada. It sucks- YANBU

poopscoop · 20/07/2009 17:39

links please to both of you and i will see what i can do

coolma · 20/07/2009 17:40

Ooh, I can't do that link thing - far too 'modern', but i put one in behaviour about my insane 3 year old and how awful she is at the moment..

it's nothing personal, I promise. It's just sometimes the board moves so fast that threads go off active convos between one refresh and the next!

lynniep · 20/07/2009 17:41

well you're getting some replies now

is it your timing? 'commuting time' threads get missed often (this is prime example - but I work from home and DH is picking up DS from nursery today), as do v. early and v. late. In fact the most popular ones obviously get seen around lunchtime and after kids bedtimes!!

juneybertiebottsbean · 20/07/2009 17:43

Definitely nothing personal, I think the forum sometimes moves so fast, some threads get missed.

Don't take it to heart

HeadFairy · 20/07/2009 17:44

I can't see one in behaviour from you coolma... just the 14 mo twins (on which I can't offer any sensible advice)

HeadFairy · 20/07/2009 17:45

This is definitely not a good time posting wise, I think those that work are on their way home (lucky buggers), those that don't work are doing tea/bath/bed/arsenic hour... I'm at work until 9pm tonight and it gets very quiet around now.

HecatesTwopenceworth · 20/07/2009 17:47

this

is your behaviour thread

to link, all you do is copy the bit at the top that begins , just right click, it will all highlight and a menu will come up, click copy. Then go to thread, type then, with no space click paste and the http: etc etc comes up. Then leave one space and type something, like "here" or whatever, then type (no space) and hey presto. A link.

Give it a try!

FabBakerGirlIsBack · 20/07/2009 17:49

I have been here aaaaaaaaaaggggggggggggggges and quite often I get no replies or very few. I sulk a bit try not to let it bother me as MN moves very quickly sometimes.

Bump your own threads if necessary.

coolma · 20/07/2009 17:51

oh, I feel better already will try to be more active too. Thank you!

HeadFairy · 20/07/2009 17:55

Hmmm I'd love to reply to your thread about your dd3, but I'm just no good at those things. DS is only 22 months so I've no experience.

I can recommend some shameless bumping, sometimes it works.

shootfromthehip · 20/07/2009 18:05

See shameless bumping is the more dignified approach- I tend to go for the slightly less dignified and more moronic approach of trying to be funny. You then get the nice sould who replies (obviously feeling a bit sorry for you) which I then grasp like a dog with a bone and embarrass myself further by asking some kind of question so that they feel guilty enough to reply to. So I end up with a 7 post thread and a deflated ego.

I swear you lot can smell my desparation

Oops went to fix a typo and got a double post.

ReneRusso · 20/07/2009 18:10

I just replied on your behaviour thread. Its really nothing personal I'm sure just a matter of luck, I'm usually drawn to Chat or AIBU above anything else.

katiestar · 20/07/2009 18:22

I thought I was the thread-killer !

HeadFairy · 20/07/2009 19:41

katiestar, I've resisted sooo long but I couldn't let you kill this one after your last post

mamalove2 · 20/07/2009 20:09

oh thats a shame you feel like that their is nothing worse..... to be honest i cant find my way about this site at all, i posted a question about a week ago and cant find it to check if i have any answers, lol bet i look right ignorant.

Thunderduck · 20/07/2009 20:11

Was this your question?

TheProvincialLady · 20/07/2009 20:16

Shootfromthehip I like your style as it is identical to mine.

OP, it is because you are boring and smelly and your mum wears funny clothes

TheProvincialLady · 20/07/2009 20:23

What, 5 minutes since I posted and you still haven't replied?

That's it, I'm ignoring you forever.

Do you feel more popular now?
