You are possibly BU

If I had one, I could tell you if indeed it is reiki blessed - I do reiki and can sense the energy (spooky woowoo emoticon)

I would never buy one. If I really want summat reiki blessed, I'll do it meself.

However archangel metatron makes me chuckle and yet leaves a sour taste in my mouth... but each to their own. Does the archangel metatron take a percantage of profits? You have to wonder.

LightShinesInTheDarkness · 17/06/2009 19:47

DippyD - do you mean that if you picked something up, you could 'feel' the Reiki energy?

And when you bless something, what do you do?

OP posts:
northernrefugee39 · 17/06/2009 19:51

Dippy- how do you "sense" energy if you don't mind my asking?

Is there a rational answer?

This definition of reiki implies to me that it is a spiritual leap of faith, rather than anything else.

Rei which means "God's Wisdom or the Higher Power" and Ki which is "life force energy". So Reiki is actually "spiritually guided life force energy."

A "life force energy" guided by "God's wisdom" seems more to do with belief than any physical ability to heal.

northernrefugee39 · 17/06/2009 19:55

Crikey

what is reiki?
"An amazingly simple technique to learn, the ability to use Reiki is not taught in the usual sense, but is transferred to the student during a Reiki class. This ability is passed on during an "attunement" given by a Reiki master and allows the student to tap into an unlimited supply of "life force energy" to improve one's health and enhance the quality of life."

Lotster · 17/06/2009 19:56

YANBU but I would like you to explain how you came across this then..hmmm? What were you looking for?

bohemianbint · 17/06/2009 19:57

I'm sure there were some trials that proved that reiki does actually have an effect on the body - let me try to find...

LightShinesInTheDarkness · 17/06/2009 19:59

lobster - I was looking for Lovelinks beads/bracelets, and E-Bay sent me an email which had some blessed ones in.

Oh dear. Money for old rope indeed. "Reiki blessed" (snort)

UnquietDad · 17/06/2009 20:02

Does Reiki rhyme with Crikey?

I always thought it was Ry-eeky.

northernrefugee39 · 17/06/2009 20:04

Lotster · 17/06/2009 20:09

Ok I believe you.

Must say though, I am also trained in giving Reiki and I wouldn't claim to be able to sense if it's in a bracelet. When giving Reiki the energy flows through you, not from you, you are not a "healer", more a conduit. So I personally don't believe in it "sitting" in an object like that...

northernrefugee39 · 17/06/2009 20:12

Lotster- what is this "energy" in layman's terms?
