To have only just worked out that Johnny Depp is quite cute?

I spent years thinking (and being a little smug if I am honest) that I did not fancy any of the Celeb heart throbs. I just didn't get them. Mr Clooney? Erm - does nothing for me and so on and so forth.

Anyway, I have recently been watching these celebrity lists, top 100 everything that has ever been done just to make another TV show, programmes. DD likes them - not me!

So I have noticed that Johnny Depp is actually quite pretty (and I do go for pretty ) plus he has the whole shy guy, sensitive thing going on... with just a hint of bad....

I could go on - so, is it that I have just not looked properly for all these years or is it that I have been single for 3 years - which is exactly 2 years and 11 months longer than I have ever been single before!

YANBU - just a bit slow

stillenacht · 18/04/2009 23:15

I don't get it at all - just keep imaginging him as Willy Wonka - never liked him and isn't he about 60?

stillenacht · 18/04/2009 23:15

although saying that, i have just posted saying i fancy Alan Sugar - so i am very wierd really

KingCanuteIAm · 18/04/2009 23:16

I know - on the up side though I can now have the pleasure of watching lots of silly trashy movies to, erm, confirm my findings!

I don't really fancy any celebs except for Johnny Depp, and have fancied him for blardy years, about 10 I think

techpep · 18/04/2009 23:17

Oooh try to get hold of dvds of 21 Jumpstreet, he was gorgeous in that series.

KingCanuteIAm · 18/04/2009 23:17

He was born 1/6/63 so no, not quite that old

KingCanuteIAm · 18/04/2009 23:18

Ooh, thanks Techpep, I was just going to ask for recommendations for where to start my research!

BodyBagEgg · 18/04/2009 23:19

oh he's gross imo.
looks half dead

EdwardCullensWife · 18/04/2009 23:19

I loved 21 Jump Street.

Gentle · 18/04/2009 23:19

"What's Eating Gilbert Grape?"

nom nom nom nom

KingCanuteIAm · 18/04/2009 23:20

CurlyhairedAssassin · 18/04/2009 23:20

Erm, let's see........

thumbwitch · 18/04/2009 23:20

yep - Benny & Joon, What's Eating Gilbert Grape, Sleepy Hollow, Pirates of the Caribbean (the best!), From Hell = all good drool-worthy films.

Didn't like him in willy wonka (too creepy) nor in Blow.

Loads of other films of course but I can't remember them all...

InTheScrum · 18/04/2009 23:21

I have loved the man for at least 15 years. He was one of my teen crushes along with River Phoenix, Keanu Reeves, Dieter Brummer etc etc.
Only one I would still have on my "Famous Five" list

EdwardCullensWife · 18/04/2009 23:21

Wow, I never knew he was so old. Still looks great though.

liath · 18/04/2009 23:21

Nightmare on Elm Street - re-live classic 80s horror and admire the perfection that is a young Johnny Depp.......

Gentle · 18/04/2009 23:22

Don Juan.

I have to see if I can watch that online anywhere. Right. Now.

KayHarker · 18/04/2009 23:22

It took me until Jack Sparrow to properly 'get it', tbh.

(Not a fan of the Clooney and the Pitt etc, either)

thumbwitch · 18/04/2009 23:22

oh and Chocolat...

littlelamb · 18/04/2009 23:24

Ah Johnny Depp.....
The only person both my mum and me can fancy without it being a bit wierd imo.
But my estimation of him went down just a notch when my best friend ran into him in a tanning salon in Brighton She just stood there like this

KingCanuteIAm · 18/04/2009 23:24

That is one of the up sides to getting your kicks from film/tv celebs - you can pick the era in which you liked them best and focus there!

I have to confess though, I have watched two Pirates OTC films - and I had no idea that it was Johnny Depp in them It would appear I was not paying much attention!

purepurple · 18/04/2009 23:25

Edward scissorhands was my first introduction to Mr Depp.

Gentle · 18/04/2009 23:25

Oh wow I have just found it on a very very popular video website that it's probably not prudent to mention for copyright reasons!

Good night everyone!

thumbwitch · 18/04/2009 23:27

!!!
Cap'n Jack Sparrow, oh he's the best version for me (it's the New Romantic thing of my early teens of men in make-up that does it, I think)
