as you were ladies.

OP posts:
MoominMymbleandMy · 17/04/2009 18:14

Yes salome64, and steer clear of the uncle. He sounds a bit too interested in little girls' underwear.

Quattrocento · 17/04/2009 18:15

Moomin, you did brilliantly in your secretarial exams, and you should start getting involved in the detecting work.

salome64 · 17/04/2009 18:15

god yes, you are right! and all those 'alternative' medicines. brown bread pills? I ask you!

Stayingsunnygirl · 17/04/2009 18:19

AIBU to create a flying back garden for myself, even when there's a risk that the magic involved might turn me into a creature of the order testudinidae (albeit one with a rather cute little nose)?

Quattrocento · 17/04/2009 18:20

AIBU Not to want to be called fossil just because my guardian's an academic who disappears for years at a time?

salome64 · 17/04/2009 18:21

staying, are marigolds involved as well as tortoises?

salome64 · 17/04/2009 18:22

Hope you are light on your feet, quattro, you'll catch it when he comes back!

BalloonSlayer · 17/04/2009 18:27

Not at all Quattro, especially as you are also called Petrova because it sounds Russian and "a bit like Peter"

BalloonSlayer · 17/04/2009 18:28

whoops meant to type "if you are also called..."

Stayingsunnygirl · 17/04/2009 18:30

No marigolds as far as I recall, salome. However, I am finding it a bit difficult steering my horticultural paradise whilst in my current form.

CJCregg · 17/04/2009 18:31

I'm back! And feel quite sick ... you bastards lovely ladies have had all day to play and I've been being a (somewhat distracted) mum. I feel totally left out and the nerd at the back of the classroom again ...

Right, enough self-pity, let's get to work. (Have also just dumped DCs on exDH with most unseemly haste.)

salome64 · 17/04/2009 18:32

love it Balloon! Petrus...Can you build a church on her?

salome64 · 17/04/2009 18:33

hi five, CJ! (in nerdy wanna be cool kinda way) just done the same!

CJCregg · 17/04/2009 18:34

AIBU to want to smoke next Tuesday afternoon's cigarette right now? And to ponce ten shillings off my neighbour to go to the pub with?

CJCregg · 17/04/2009 18:36

Hi, salome! Does this mean we're going to be doing this all weekend? FFS, I have plans - but nothing as fun as this

salome64 · 17/04/2009 18:38

In theory, I hope not CJ, but who knows? Ds out of way, booty call away for weekend, nothing between now and sunday lunch....

MoominMymbleandMy · 17/04/2009 18:45

CJCregg, should you be saving up for an aspidistra?

salome64 · 17/04/2009 18:47

flying plants? whatever next?

Quattrocento · 17/04/2009 18:47

Now I love both my brother and my father, but they are so interfering! I've recently developed a romantic friendship with Philip, a hunchback, but sensitive and intellectual. Both my father and my brother insist that I have nothing to do with him. AIBU to resent their interference?

Quattrocento · 17/04/2009 18:48

CJC - hmm must be Orwell but which one? I think it probably is the aspidistra one ...

CJCregg · 17/04/2009 18:48

No aspidistras here. I have no great artistic ambitions, but do have a pain in the arse ex-girlfriend who won't leave me alone. I don't feel I can abandon her after her suicide attempt.

Quattrocento · 17/04/2009 18:49

Saturday night is tomorrow night (prays as it is years since I read it). Or it could be Look Back in Anger (ditto) Can I hedge my bets?

MrsFlittersnoop · 17/04/2009 18:50

CJCregg- you shouldn't complain, Jim. You sound very lucky to me!

CJCregg · 17/04/2009 18:51

Neither of those.

I teach history badly, and am in love with my employer's mad artist son's prim girlfriend.

CJCregg · 17/04/2009 18:51

Ah, thank you Mrs F. Good to see you again!
