To have found it amusing when dd2 pointed at 2 smokers and and shouted "Yuk! Cigarettes!"?

We were leaving a Soft Play place and 2 women were standing outside the entrance, smoking. DD2 pointed at them and proclaimed "Yuk! Cigarettes!" in her most booming voice. I found it funny and walked off without looking at the smokers or saying anything to them. I wondered for a bit if I should've apologised, though...

(DD2 is 3. This happened a few weeks ago but I was reminded of it by another thread.)

I meant a comment which i thought was a rude comment, but i didn't come on here to argue.

I came on to say no YANBU to laugh at what your child did.....if it made you happy. But i wouldn't. Different strokes for different folk, or so the saying goes!

YANBU. What a clever girl but I'm sure all the smokers disagree. She is perfectly entitled to voice her opinion - cigarettes are yuck and they are polluting her air.

I didn't get the impression that the OP actually laughed at what her dd said. Perhaps she chided her for being so outspoken whilst roffling inside.
