Collecting prams, I just don't get it. How do people get so excited over prams??

The pushchair forum is by far the saddest and most disturbing forum on this site IMO!

Aw don't be mean!

I don't have a) the space or b) the inclination, but they seem like a nice enough bunch. Why don't you post on their thread and ask them?

LizzyTaylor · 15/03/2009 22:07

I darnt, they scare me!

Don't be so judgemental - There's room for everyone on Mumsnet (bumsex threads just one example)

AnyFucker · 15/03/2009 22:14

prams? bumsex?

all part of life's rich tapestry...

but I prefer bumsex

BoysAreLikeDogs · 15/03/2009 22:17

They treat it as a hobby, and make a bit of money too, what's the problem?

Leave 'em alone

Fimbo · 15/03/2009 22:19

You must be new LizzyTaylor??

SheSellsSeashellsByTheSeashore · 15/03/2009 22:22

My sis is obsessed with buying new prams. She got bored of her old double buggy so bought a Phil and Teds on her DP's credit card without telling him

She then sold her old double buggy and will use it towards the credit card bill along with some other she sold.

She's not weired just obsessed with all things baby.

She does make money though. She is desperate for me to give her my old pram, car seat and spare car seat to sell so she can buy me a Phil and Teds Dash which she is convinced I will love.

babymt · 16/03/2009 13:44

Theres a pushchair forum???!!! runs off to find it to find other weirdos to talk to about my latest pram purchase

conniedescending · 16/03/2009 13:46

ooh I love pushchairs

giantkatestacks · 16/03/2009 13:52

where is this mysterious pram forum?

MsSpentYouth · 16/03/2009 13:53

I am sure there are things that you do that other find weird.

Different strokes for different folks and all that.

If you don't like it hide the topics

HuwEdwards · 16/03/2009 13:53

agree, it's like being excited over a make of vacuum cleaner or iron. They are purely functional in my eyes.

misdee · 16/03/2009 13:54

giantkatestacks · 16/03/2009 13:58

lol have just had a look - each to their own...

HuwEdwards · 16/03/2009 14:00

Sod the pram Misdee, your DD is positively EDIBLE though!

Trinityrhino · 16/03/2009 14:00

aaaawwwww so scrummy, I could eat her

Habbibu · 16/03/2009 14:00

People collect all sorts of things - cars, ceramic frogs, garden gnomes, old masters. What's so different about prams? Some people are of the collecting ilk, others are not. If you're not, then it's possible you find people unlike you weird, but I'm not sure that's reasonable.

misdee · 16/03/2009 14:01

i threaten to eat dd4 daily. dd3 always stops me though lol.

VinegarTitsCoveredinChocolate · 16/03/2009 14:04

YABU and mean, i have no interest in prams, but each to their own

EyeballsintheSky · 16/03/2009 14:12

No, they're not like vacuum cleaners etc, they're more like cars and some people obsess over those, some people will drive anything that has four wheels.

I'm a borderline obsessive. I'd like to be but I couldn't be arsed to keep selling them and I can't afford to keep buying them so I mostly just look.
