I can't bear to be in the same room as this lame, humourless nonsense. The story lines seem to have been written on the back of a fag packet on the way home from the pub and it is so loud and frenetic my kids seem to find it incomprehensible (prepares to write letterto the Daily Mail..)
Or am I just overtired having fought the good fight at Tesco?

Bauble99 · 22/12/2008 17:57

Nope. YANBU. It's just so LOUD.

MrsMattie · 22/12/2008 17:57

Oh it's evil. I could happily give Stephanie a few digs when her (probably pushy showbiz...) parents weren't looking.

rubyslippersiappearinginpanto · 22/12/2008 17:57

it is so upbeat

loathe it nearly as much as Balamory

loobeylou · 22/12/2008 17:57

Tis on NOW, that's one of the reasons I am MNing ! That stephanie song drives me mad.

Lucky you having Tesco done and dusted, am off out there myself at 10pm tonight!

MrsSeanBean · 22/12/2008 17:57

Not at all, it's cr*p.

smallorange · 22/12/2008 17:58

It's finished. Thank God.

AAAH nice young men singing about Christmas decorations - that's proper kids TV.

YABVU, where else on cbeebies can a bored housewife enjoy well muscled men in lycra performing acrobatics? Therefore it's my favorite show on cbeebies in fact the only one I actually watch!

Pixel · 22/12/2008 18:18

Is it loud? Ds has ASD and refuses to have the sound on so I've never actually heard it. I do get fed up with seeing Sportacus's constant showing off though!

smallorange · 22/12/2008 18:27

I don't know Pipsy - well muscled men in lycra sporting twirly moustaches? Sportacus may have a fan club but I don't think it's all female somehow..

OP posts:
pipsy76 · 22/12/2008 18:37

oh dear, my bubble has burst sportacus is even less obtainable than I realized then!

blametheparents · 22/12/2008 18:41

I can't stand it. And fortunately my DS and DD don't like it either.
Currently watching Peppa Pig, which I find strangely soothing.

FlynnieAroundTheChristmasTree · 22/12/2008 18:50

My dd loves it and though it does drive me around the bend at least its not Yo Gabba Gabba.
Sportacus isn't that bad though. I once saw him on the Wright stuff and fear not pipsy he is Married with children(of course, thats just as unobtainable!)

littleboyblue · 22/12/2008 18:53

Hate it too but not as much as Green Balloon Club and lots of other programs I can't be bothered to list!
MrsMattie, isn't Stephanie in her 20's or something?

JackieNoCribForABed · 22/12/2008 19:00

I don't hate it, but the songs are a bit too cheery. Love a bit of lycra-clad Sportacus. Looks like Stephanie is 18.

gabygirl · 22/12/2008 19:20

YANBU
Stephanie is a weenie wonder. She sings! She dances! She has a face breaking smile all the time.

I love her - she's just so perfect.

And Sportacus......

I love him too. Did you know that in 'real life' he's actually 42 and has been married 17 years, 3 kids?

So not a bender, despite looking like Jean Paul Gaultier's gay clone boyfriend.

hkz · 22/12/2008 19:29

Nothing is as awful and cringe making as the Green Balloon club and the twee drama school child actor/presenters...I hate it.

giddykipper · 22/12/2008 19:31

Although Big Cock Little Cock is quite irritating

spicemonster · 22/12/2008 19:33

I won't let my DS watch it. Far too loud and I'm too tired and old.

gabygirl · 22/12/2008 19:38

Now Big Cook is camp. In a rather dirty, horrid sort of way.

hkz · 22/12/2008 19:42

Little cook is just creepy... and the food they make is weird.

peacelily · 22/12/2008 19:44

Green Balloon club is truly sick making although NOTHING surpasses Carrie and Davids Popshop for sheer horror.

WTF!!!! dds favourite is still Mr. Tumble and i happen to agree with her

jemart · 22/12/2008 19:50

Very nearly all cbeebies is brain rot, I don't mind watching Jakers though.
Charlie and Lola are also just about bearable unless I've seen it already, then it gets irritating. Am praying grandma doesn't buy them the DVD for xmas.

walkinthewoods · 22/12/2008 19:52

Ahhhhh Sportacus, sooooo lush. And I think Robbie Rotten is great. It's one of my favourite kids progs along with Peppa Pig, Charlie and Lola, Pingu.

My HATES are Shiney Show, In The Night Garden, The Mister Men show URGH and that new PINKY AND PERKY I HATE IT< IT IS SO AWFUL I WANT TO SCREAM. We are at the moment of progressing onto big beebis now>>>>>>>

smallorange · 22/12/2008 19:53

Oh Carrie and David's Popshop is pure evil. It's like your children are being groomed to become X-factor wannabees.
