I can't bear to be in the same room as this lame, humourless nonsense. The story lines seem to have been written on the back of a fag packet on the way home from the pub and it is so loud and frenetic my kids seem to find it incomprehensible (prepares to write letterto the Daily Mail..)
Or am I just overtired having fought the good fight at Tesco?

OMG Carri and Davids pop shop, truly awful (but pinky and perky still the most blood boiling)

MadamePlatypus · 22/12/2008 19:58

Don't be mean. It is a little bright spark in the Icelandic economy.

nickytinseltimes · 22/12/2008 20:03

Ds has just discovered CBeebies in the last few weeks.

I am also a hater of fucking Lazytown. God, i hate that shitty moralising quality that it has in buckets.

noonki · 22/12/2008 20:12

Walkin - the mr. men show is sooooo wrong. I honestlt don't understand what it is on about. Rhe old ones are just fab.

(the books on the otherhand are daddy books as I find them as dull as dishwater to read)

Rookietherednosedreindeer · 22/12/2008 20:20

Don't mind Lazytown. Bobinogs I dislike with a passion, must be their annoying bobbly hats. Thankfully DS hates Carrie & Davids Pop Shop, and Space Pirates.

nickytinseltimes · 22/12/2008 20:26

Bobinogs - that's a load of crap too.

fizzbuzz · 22/12/2008 20:26

I don't understand Lazytown at all. Am I thick?

Have been subjected to endless rounds of it, and all I know is Stephanie is new in town. Is there more story than this? Who is the baddy and who is the goody.

I find Peppa soothing too, and Fifi, but really do not like awful Americanised Dora

smallorange · 22/12/2008 20:30

Oh no, Dora and Diego rule in our house. As does Spongebob Squarepants(I'll get me coat.. .)

Things I cannot bear:

Lazytown - just an embarrassment; much more unforgiveable of Iceland than pissing all their banks' money up the wall

Green Balloon Club - I want to pound the screen every time that lisping harpie Lily Rose appears and I have to turn it off during their dreadful dirges

Jakers - wtf? I'm surprised the Irish government haven't sued.

Have a very soft spot for Doodle Do though.

Botbot · 22/12/2008 20:50

I saw a panto last week in which two fat blokes dressed up as Sportacus and Stephanie and fannied about on stage. Much more entertaining.

CharleeInPantoPaperChains · 22/12/2008 20:54

I hate Lazy Town, i HATE Sporticus, the guy who plays him wrote and directed it, how up your own arse is that to write a kids programme then put yourself as the hero.

and seriously can that man not walk anywhere??? Its all flips and flops, and his only mates are little kids..... perve.

You got me started now.......

My boys have fallen in love with Peppa Pig in face my youngest thinks he is George Pig. I am looking to comission someone to knit me 2 Peppa Pig jumpers for them as i can't knit. Anyone fancy it?

I don't mind Big Cook Little Cook, i worry about them in this hard time with the economy, they only have one customer a day! I also thinks Ben takes the piss making Small fly to the hatch when he can sodding well walk.

sammysam · 22/12/2008 20:59

I hate it too......and luckily my dd also hates it-as soon as it comes on she says 'no lazy town, hate lazy town' and this is without me influencing her at all good girl!

CharleeInPantoPaperChains · 22/12/2008 20:59

My boys really hate Me Too - Can you blame them?

MirandaG · 22/12/2008 21:01

Two words: 'sports candy' - what a load of self-righteous health freak twaddle.
We all love Peppa Pig from DD2 (1.5y) to my dad (75y).
Oh and the operatic Wonderpets are just bonkers!

fizzbuzz · 22/12/2008 21:12

Pleeeeze can someone explain the story to me....or isn't there a story....?

nannynick · 22/12/2008 21:21

For the background to LazyTown, try Lazytown.biz FAQ which tells you about the goal of LazyTown, target audience, and of course about Sportacus (Magnús Scheving) who created LazyTown in 1991.

worleywinterwonderland · 22/12/2008 21:22

my ds2 loves lazytown aka go go town as he calls it, he cracks up at rot rot (robbie) and likes ziggy. i admit i used to think it was utter pants but now as im being brainwashed by am actually starting to quite like it. he also loves george pig and the wonder pets, with go diego go a big fave too.

all of us cant stand the green ballon club though.......
