I guess about 11pm when I would be annoyed adults were up

noonki · 08/08/2008 21:44

because I would be jealous!!!

barnsleybelle · 08/08/2008 21:48

I feel sorry for you... How annoying. If it's a one off i would just leave them until they stop anyway. You risk bad feeling by saying anything and if it's not something they do often then it's not worth it.

However, if it's a common occurance i would leave it tonight but have a quiet word tomorrow. The adults may have had a few beers and may react badly if you say anything tonight.

barnsleybelle · 08/08/2008 21:49

ps. Unless its a one off party ( of which i can't remember the last) mine are always in by 8.30 at the very latest.

youcannotbeserious · 08/08/2008 21:52

Can you have a word so that they are quiet while your 3YO goes to sleep (assuming the other kids are older)

We used to have neighbours who were very noisy, but we had a deal where they turned the noise down while the kids went to sleep - once the kids were asleep, we were happy for them to turn it up again...

Might be a compromise.........

Sorry for hijack, but Cod, really - YOU are giving people SPELLING advice... Really?????????????????????

stoppinattwo · 08/08/2008 22:12

actually tis they're

GetOrfMoiLand · 08/08/2008 22:14

I wouldn't be too fussed tbh, it will be pissing down and freezing cold soon, the trampoline won't get used for months.

It's the summer holidays and a Friday, don't think they're being unreasonable.

stoppinattwo · 08/08/2008 22:21

just think of the lie in you will get

fifflegumps · 09/08/2008 05:45

We're quite a noisy lot but the kids are off the trampoline by 8.00 - there is all day to make noise - and we do. Knock next door and ask politely if they can keep the noise down as 3yr old's bed time. Although, I suppose if you have a neighbour who put's their children to bed at 6.00, it is difficult to keep your older children quiet then!

branflake81 · 09/08/2008 07:54

I think YABU. It's the summer holidays and the world can't be expected to stop because a small child is asleep. Otherwise we'd all be tiptoeing around from about 7:30.

popsycal · 09/08/2008 08:17

ScottishMummy · 09/08/2008 08:44

it is really snippy to comment about spelling and grammar.you obviously understood the OP enough to contribute so the grammatical error was no impediment
