Anyway - I agree it is annoying if you lo is in bed but as people have said it is the summer holidays and it was a Friday night. They will be indoors today due to this awful bloody weather. I wouldnt make a big deal of it tbh

Starscream: I think if you had spent a little while on this site you would realise and maybe understand Cod?s post more and see it as amusing than irritating rather than a nasty put down. She is like mumsnet?s own resident cyber-cactus. Don?t take it personally. Usually in her barbed remarks are a whole heap of truth.
There is a lot of "snobbery" on here re: txt spk and worth leaving it out if you want people to take you seriously. Same with poor spelling and grammar. Interestingly, people seem ok to ignore the odd accidental mistake or slip on words like "diarrheoa" etc but deliberately "pimping" words like "kalm" is a bit too Top Shop and not enough Boden for the likes round here

Look at OP as well as title cod.
One of each sort.

And starscream - you got your answers last night. It helps if you don't use textspeak on this site.

it is really snippy to comment about spelling and grammar.you obviously understood the OP enough to contribute so the grammatical error was no impediment

I think YABU. It's the summer holidays and the world can't be expected to stop because a small child is asleep. Otherwise we'd all be tiptoeing around from about 7:30.

fifflegumps · 09/08/2008 05:45

We're quite a noisy lot but the kids are off the trampoline by 8.00 - there is all day to make noise - and we do. Knock next door and ask politely if they can keep the noise down as 3yr old's bed time. Although, I suppose if you have a neighbour who put's their children to bed at 6.00, it is difficult to keep your older children quiet then!

just think of the lie in you will get

GetOrfMoiLand · 08/08/2008 22:14

I wouldn't be too fussed tbh, it will be pissing down and freezing cold soon, the trampoline won't get used for months.

It's the summer holidays and a Friday, don't think they're being unreasonable.
