AIBU to say no one can define female gender clearly

AIBU to think that no body has ever been able to explain what female gender is.
I recently heard a guy say, 'if a guy throws a ball badly (he did an impression of a 2 year throwing a ball), then that's female gender.'

If sex and gender are different things, then what is female gender.

Please only respond with a definition of female gender that does not rely on regressive stereotypes.

gender roles are to a point socially constructed. But (for posters here) saying that women themselves are socially constructed is an error.

The fact that society has invented stereotypes about women doesn’t mean society invented women.

women as a sex class have a right to be protected. They are biologically the weaker sex in terms of muscle mass, bone density and strength.

I think you're confused. The whole point is that you can't clearly define female gender because gender is a social construct - there is no fixed definition everyone will agree on. Female is the name of the category of organisms that produces larger gametes, such as eggs or ova, capable of fertilization during sexual reproduction. There is no other descriptor within that for behaviour. Gender is a It is a concept, a belief, a shorthand for 'this is how we expect people who are in the sex class 'female' to behave. There is no fact that underpins it. That's why the concept of what it is to 'do womanhood' changes over time, as society adjusts its expectations on females.

When I was younger, gender was just used as another word for biological sex. Possibly because people were a bit squeamish about saying sex. There may have been a different scientific definition, but if there was, it wasn't in everyday use. To many people the two words still mean the same thing.

We are all individuals. We look different. We like diffetent things. We hate different things. Its impossible to reduce everything there is abput a person into two categories.

Gender is the word used for a collection of stereotypes relating to presentation, behaviour, aptitudes and feelings associated in our society, or in the mind of the individual using the term with one or the other of the two sexes.
So if a man claims to have the gender of a woman, what he means is he prefers the stereotypes associated with being a woman to being a man, feels they fit him better, rejects male ones, so therefore must be a woman through his 'gender'.

There is a woman at work who always claims she isn't a girly girl because she likes sport and hiking and outdoor activities. I find it a bit irritating because I do those activities but have never felt they are particularly male. She seems to be completely blind to the fact that loads of women also do those things even when she is doing them with other women.

The whole gender stereotyping is very flimsy and varies from person to person and is different in different cultures.

People are deliberately complicating this in order to cause confusion because it suits their cause. It’s actually incredibly simple.

Male and Female are biological terms that relate to gamete size. People are either Male or Female and it can be determined at approx 3 days post conception which of these they are via genetic testing. That’s how they are able to do sex selective IVF. Either an X sperm gets into the egg or a Y sperm does, you then end up with a human being designed around the ability to create large gametes - a female, or small gametes - a male. That human being may have defects that mean they can’t actually produce gametes or their body forms to look slightly different but neither of those things change the fact that they are either male or female and were from the instant the sperm got lucky.

Gender until recently was a synonym for sex, it was the polite way we spoke about private parts without using the S.E.X word. Everyone knew that women are female and men are male.

Now gender is used to describe how a person identifies themselves and it is 100% stereotypes/personality based.

I would start with gender being the life experience of females. Although unique having multiple shared experiences based on sex.
I don’t think it would be too difficult a construct, a few academics who acknowledge the biological reality of life could whip one up.

This debate is very old.
He thinks it means he is a woman because he feels he is, and believes his feelings about his sense of self override his biological sex.
People who disagree with him argue that his bioogical sex means he is a man and that this overrides any feelings or wishes he has to the contrary.

Female is a sex not a gender. The definition of the female sex is of or denoting the sex that can bear offspring or produce eggs.

Gender is imposed on women on top of our female biology. The gender ‘woman’ sexually objectifies us (cosmetics, revealing clothing), belittles us (weaker sex), steals from us (expectations women will carry the unpaid work burden) and generally excludes us from full participation in society because of our gestational role and the expectation that our work will neither be valued or financially compensated in a patriarchal society.

When we "listen to transpeople" like wot we are told we must do, they tell us what woman gender and man gender and nonbinary gender mean.

The words make no sense, and don't relate in any way to my lived experience of being an Actual Woman, but they do tell us, I do listen and then file away that bit of my life I'm never getting back again.

For women it seems to be things like "gentle", "soft", "submissive", "massive boobs" etc, etc 💩
For men it's mostly beards.
