To be depressed we are only halfway through the summer holidays

I know, I’m going to get a load of YABUs as I love this time with my precious children’ but there are still three weeks left, I’m skint and having to muster the enthusiasm for another day out because the alternative is worse!

True, but all countries have their upsides and downsides don’t they?

I don’t know a lot about Canada - would absolutely love to go though; DH and I planned to one day - but I do know the house prices are relatively inexpensive compared to the UK, for example. And while there are ten weeks of summer to cover I believe the total holidays are similar, as no half terms.

Of course, this doesn’t affect me from a cost perspective (where childcare is concerned anyway, this month has been horrendously expensive in other ways) but more from an exhaustion / burnout standpoint!

You probably have camps like America though. There isn't anything like that here unless you book for a day of sports which might end at two.
