Don't know what topic you'd put this under but picture this scenario - one bathroom in the house, husband is in the shower, you're suddenly desperate for the toilet - what do you do?

We call it a nip in and it's fine with me

EmailsaysOOO · 16/08/2026 23:17

Numero Uno ? Yes of course. A duo? Nope, hold on

MidnightMeltdown · 16/08/2026 23:17

Weird question. Unless you some kind of illness that causes incontinence, I don’t see why you wouldn’t just wait.

roxyro · 16/08/2026 23:18

No way could I poo in front of my partner and I’d be horrified if he did that whilst I was in the bath or shower. Just NO.

nomas · 16/08/2026 23:20

In a one bathroom household, someone should say they’re showering so the other person can have a quick wee if they need one.

Specialneedsnightmare · 16/08/2026 23:26

If I was desperate for a wee I'd ask my partner (if I had one which i don't) to turn his back while I went for it. If it was a poo I'd have to ask him to leave the room, there's no way on earth I would do that in front of anyone. I've always felt it would take something away from the attraction if I saw a partner use the toilet or vice versa.

@SandrenaIsMyBloodType YOU may be uptight - your description - but that doesn't mean others who don't want to shit in front of their partners are uptight. They are not 'right' the people who say this!

I tend not to shit when we're having sex...ymmv.

I tend not to shit in the shower. I also said only if absolutely necessary. I just don't understand how people can be so uptight - in fact I wonder how some people get through life they are so precious.

He could pee in the garden if it were urgent!

I would accept a pee if urgent, anything more solid....NO.

mondaytosunday · 17/08/2026 12:48

Wee fine though I’d give a warning. Anything else - hold it!

TimeDoesntStandStill · 17/08/2026 14:54

Im also on the side of not using toilet in front of partner, Ive only done this after surgery when ive been in too much pain and on meds affecting balance to manage by myself, and even at that once be got me on toilet he put his hand on my shoulder to keep my balance and turned away to give me some element of privacy.

Why not get some 'Dog Poop Bags' and use one those and then hang it on a tree in a public green space?

It seems that's what a number of people do where I live.🤮

It boils my blood when dog people do this.

Honestly what even is the f#*king point?

My daughter takes an hour in the shower so my husband and son piss in the drain outside

No not really ok unless you’re a toddler with no indication you needed it previously and no ability for hold it for 10 minutes. If you only have the one bathroom and he says he’s going for a shower do you not think to pop in first if you need it, and if you didn’t need it at all then surely it cannot be so urgent you can’t hold it until he’s done… If it is then I think you need to make a GP appointment as it’s not normal and could indicate a medical issue. Not because there’s anything gross about having a wee (poo is another matter) but really because it’s a poor reflection on quiet time and boundaries.

My medical condition does not make me a toddler, thank you very much. It does however, make waiting 10 minutes impossible.

I'd use the loo if i couldn't wait. I'm very quick and neither of us are squeemish about it. When i had 3 kids running around i didn't shut the bathroom door when i used the loo either, bc i had to keep an eye/hear what the kids were up to.

To those who are really squeemish about privacy and poos, what would you do if your partner or you ever needed help in the toilet? You all need to get over yourselves (and probably eat a healthier diet).

If you have to go then you have to go, maybe be discret, if my DP is around i try not to go when hes in the shower, ok hes seen me in the shower shaving, was hair etc but thats very different than using the loo.
