To think that Cambridge University’s reputation has been shot to pieces by the revelations about ex-professor Jason Arday?

I’m doing puking emoji, @LuckyHazelFox

He even took the piss out of Stephen Hawking. I think most of us know at least one of his type. Butter wouldn't melt when the camera's on him.

It’s quite the type. This week, all my friends have been texting ‘this should have been x’ and not all about the same person either. I’d love it if someone brought all those guys down.

He is the only person responsible for his predicament.

You think everything happens in a vacuum?

no. Literally the most cursory glance around your own personal environment would demonstrate that. Cause..dun dun DUN .. effect

He’s to blame at a personal level. But this has become an event at a societal level, and after that point things are much less clear.

how his personal failure/fraud is framed and by whom is probably more important than anything he’s actually done.

@thestudio ”He’s to blame at a personal level. But this has become an event at a societal level, and after that point things are much less clear.”

It’s a self inflicted spectacle, which is going to run and run, because Bullshit Jason is so conceited he’s written a fucking book, and hasn’t pulled it!!!!
You couldn’t make it up, except, he has!

In his book, I hear he explains how he invented the internet, and taught Bear Grylls how to survive in the wild.

I was t being satirical, there are several. Liars all round a bit like Arday is being billed as. The difference is they don’t get sacked. They can have lots of reviews by people who spot their work is bad, but once they’re already a prof they are too powerful to sack, it seems. They fail upwards and are often narcissistic types. Also, and this relates to the theme, they often work on ‘noble’ themes (which I suppose you’d call woke) and so frame everything as an attack on their values, when in fact they’re just bad individuals. Brazen individuals, who operate in plain sight.

He didn’t get sacked either? He resigned.
