AIBU to want it to be Autumnal when I get home from holiday?

Having a really lovely holiday in Europe, but it’s so hot. AIBU to wish for autumnal weather when we get back to the UK next week? I’d love to curl up on my sofa with a blanket because I feel chilly.

To add, this is about the UK heat mostly, 33 DegC predicted for my town tomorrow, I’m done with the heat!

It’s August. We get over half the year in the cold and dark. I love autumn, but we’re not there yet. Mid September will be just right.

Come to Scotland. We’ve not had any heatwaves and it’s chilly here.

I’d love a bit of hot weather.

YANBU to have preferences

I can't think of anything more depressing that autumn starting in August or September. We could do with some rain however, heat is fine but it's too dry.

YABU. I am on holiday in the UK next week and I’m not ready for the weather to change.

Autumn can wait until September at least.

I was going to say, feels like the start of autumn here. I'm in Scotland and I always think it goes:

Aug - Oct: Autumn
Nov - Jan: Dark winter
Feb - April: Still winter
May: Spring
Jun - Jul: Summer
