Letting the US use airbases in the UK for their despicable vile war, and raising the risk to innocent lives everywhere.

So much for change.

YABU - Bore off, I love a bit of senseless military action
YANBU - The UK should tell the US we want no part of your elective war.

Fed up of click bait, none returning OP’s.

Do not waste your time if you are about to comment. OP really isn’t that interested.

I’ll repeat!

Yes, same with Starmer. Lots of sm manipulation going on by the right wing I think.

It was also the same with Johnson, Truss, Sunak. The difference is the people who are salty now were probably the ringleaders before.

SpottyAlpaca · 24/07/2026 18:15

Yawn…. 🥱

It’s the Tory troll bot. Best ignored. 🙄

I think I’m slow on the uptake, but I’m starting to get a bit suspicious about these unending posts criticising Burnham. He’s barely got his foot through the door and Parliament isn’t back until 1 September.

Agree. Exactly the same thing happened in July 2024 when Labour first got in.

The bots on FB have started already too…

I hate him because I'm a Mancunian and Machester has got worse and worse year after year with him in charge. I don't even go into town anymore to shop or see a film etc. I only go there if I have an appointment or something and never on my own. Yes, it's that bad.

And the fact he has pledged to end homelessness nationwide is just hilarious

He pledged that as Manchesters Mayor, just for our city.

He did a great job there 🤨 I don't think its ever been MORE of a problem than now. There are tents and sleeping bags everywhere.

Piccadilly Gardens is just terrifying. It makes me so sad to see what our wonderful city has become.

As a teenager I spent countless hours shopping there, eating on the green, making friends with other groups of emos, visiting Afflecks etc... and now my own teenagers aren't allowed to go there.

I was there the other week. It’s a great city!

scalt · 24/07/2026 18:39

I can just hear Boris Johnson saying "You should have picked me again, I am the second coming, I can perform miracles instantly!"

rollonxmas · 24/07/2026 18:41

After 4 days? Jesus

timekeepsshifting · 24/07/2026 18:44

Well he could have said no and then started a ridiculous military tug of war with the US - a distraction no one wants or needs.
He has to pick his battles - and that’s not one of them.

No. It was different. There were actual genuine discussions. There wasn't the high number of plop and runners that there are now, predicting doom and the end of civilisation and churning out rage bait material.

He's done a video on Facebook with John Healy about bar snacks.
Unbelievably different to the robot sir Starmer.

Iran have been conducting a proxy war on our territory for years, and destabilising the whole middle east (Hamas, Hezbollah, Houthis).

They can use my drive to bomb them if they like, especially if it removes their repressive, woman hating government.

Obanotters · 24/07/2026 19:14

YABU for suggesting AB is unreasonable in letting the US use their UK air bases.

I don't think that is what people are saying. You should read up on SM manipulation. It is a concern for all of us, regardless of political views.

Don't be daft. This is the left eating its own again.

AB is about to discover that you can never be pure enough for the progressive left he has been courting. OPs position is proof of that starting already.

Blogswife · Yesterday 08:58

Yet another right wing clickbate post . Yawn !

FunnyOrca · Yesterday 09:04
  • John Healy as chancellor, basically writing defence a blank cheque
  • As OP says, not saying no to the US military
  • Bringing Angela Rayner back in and the whole to and fro over her severance pay
  • Kanishka Narayan as AI minister with no discernible qualification, just party support backing
  • Taking Ed Milliband out of DECC, the only person doing good in government

The whole thing is just leaving the gate open to Reform at the next election.

I think some of the RW have upped the ante trying to deflect from Binface Gate.

Ffs this is geopolitics. It’s far more nuanced than your embarrassingly facile AIBU.

Are you sure about that? On current polling Reform would not get anywhere near a majority. They have slipped massively from their 30+ point lead. They have failed to win the last 4 national by-elections and Labour is winning seats from them at a local level as are other parties.

You have really brightened my day with that perspective! I hope you are right and the data holds! 🤞

Gutted. And surprised. He ought to be ashamed.

It's a continuation of what had already been agreed. Would''be been much more surprising if he'd stopped it, challenging Dirty Donald so soon.
