AIBU to feel embarrassed after queefing during sex with a new partner

Have posted in the sex thread but also here for traffic.
Absolutely mortified to be writing this but maybe need some perspective.
I'm 44 and haven't had sex for 3 years, I've been dating someone new for a month and last week things progressed to our first time having sex. We hadn't even properly began and he just put the tip of his penis in and my vagina made a queef sound, mortified! He tried again straight away and it happened again. I totally freaked and started to make a big deal of it (totally not mature I know) after a couple of minutes we tried again and yep it happened a third time! I get that it be quite normal but after going down a google rabbit hole its more common in doggy or after thrusting and moving position or at the end. This started off as standard missionary and he'd only just put the tip in. Not normal is it? This also hasn't happened to me since my 20s, I've had 4 sexual partners since then and it didn't happen with them.
So now I'm feeling completely embarrassed and wondering why the fuck I had so much air there right at the start and why, it's totally put me off, a brand new partner and this happens first time I try and sleep with him, I don't think I can bring myself to try again with him.
Am I over reacting? Would love to know if a guy is secretly put off by this and just doesn't say. I'm cringing just thinking about it.

Oh dear I'm sorry OP but I had to laugh! This has happened to me a few times over the years and I just laughed and made a joke of it! Believe me,if a man likes you enough to be in bed with you,he's not going to be the slightest bit bothered about it!

Aww this is sweet but men with shag anything 🤣

TheDevilWears · Yesterday 00:28

I’d never heard of ‘queefing’ before 😂 I’ve always called them fanny farts 🤷🏼‍♀️ I can’t imagine being embarrassed over air …

Manhattanman · Yesterday 04:20

Man here. I wouldn't care about this one bit and I wouldn't really give it a second thought. In fact, with a new partner I would completely ignore it so as not to make her feel self-conscious but with an established partner we would probably laugh. Honestly, it's not something to worry about and I seriously doubt your partner is bothered at all.

LBFseBrom · Yesterday 04:35

I never knew it had a name! I called it, "Fanny farts".

It happens to everyone, try not to think about it any more.

Seabreeze18 · Yesterday 07:04

Seems to me like the end of his knob is a perfect size to create a suction and that he needs to actually put at all the way in!
Also how is your pelvic floor?

StMarie4me · Yesterday 07:23

Erm… when was it decided that women should be embarrassed about a normal bodily noise?! Don’t we have enough that we’ve had shame forced on us for?
Crack on OP, it’s perfectly normal!

Slackbladder22 · Yesterday 07:42

Another bloke here saying don’t worry! It happens a lot with my current partner especially doing doggy. Just chill and enjoy, it’s only air moving!

Chickadee001 · Yesterday 09:33

Totally natural - when it happens to my husband and I we collapse in giggles and persevere! 😆

We always called them fanny farts.

🤣 me too! 🤣

Sex is messy and sometimes noisy, there's nothing else to say, really. I'd have laughed, even if I did feel embarrassed.

If this embarrasses you then you’re having sex too soon. Sex should be with someone you trust.

You think men get the ick from it then?

Only if he's a virgin.

OtterlyAstounding · Yesterday 10:03

YANBU to feel embarrassed, but depending on positioning etc it's fairly common as this thread shows, and making a big deal out of it will only add to the embarrassment for you, while he continues not caring in the slightest either way.

If it's happening a lot due to position, then just slip two fingers in there before he goes for it, scissor them open a little and bear down – it'll get rid of the air without the sound effects.

🤣 me too! 🤣

me 3! 😂😂

MasterBeth · Yesterday 10:07

Most men don't have a clue what's going on down there they are just grateful it's happening.

xXMummyTo6Xx · Yesterday 10:09

just laugh it off next time and say to him that your fanny is speaking it's own love language to him ;-) haha!

omghereistrouble · Yesterday 11:11

Maybe because you have not had sex recently? If he is old enough for sex he is old enough to know this is just one of the things?

lilkitten · Yesterday 13:16

It's really normal, I haven't found guys to be bothered. Can depend I find on the shape of the penis, and position. With DP it's usually if we try doggy, but I have a doggy strap (like a cushioned thing with handles that he holds to pull me flatter) and that works, or lying flat on my tummy on a table or something. It's finding what works. But I've realised guys don't care about much except hygiene IME.

NCForOneNightOnly · Yesterday 16:34

You’ll both be laughing about this in a few months.
