Honestly, so disappointed.
Tresemme was great value for money. I accepted when the 800ml bottles sneakily changed to 680 or whatever the volume of ozempic tresemme became. It was still okay - most supermarkets kept the offer price at £3.50, it smells nice, lasted a long time, I don’t need anything salon quality it did the job.
New bottles are 500 or so ml, look awful and no longer on offer, the price is easily hitting the £5 mark.

AIBU to be fed up of everything getting smaller and prices going up?

And yes, I understand companies can do what they want, I know prices go up. But what a sad little life for us consumers.

My Tesco and Sainsbury’s both sell the old style ones still. And Amazon have them listed too

Same. It was the only brand that worked for my sensitive scalp and dry hair. Then when they changed the formula my head made it known :-(

Use Umberto Gianni Thirsty Curls now. More expensive, but no scalp reaction.

I like Tresemme but I don’t like the plastic collar thing on the new bottle that you snap off. Seems very wasteful to me.

I had been buying this for ds so he stopped using my Ouai shampoo! He doesn’t care what brand it is, if it says shampoo and it’s within reach, he’s using it.
Ive switched to Aussie for him now, can usually get 2 bottles for a tenner and it lasts him a while.

YABU for using Tresemmé, my hairdresser says it’s the worst for hair. (And my haircut is £10 for a trim so she is not elite).

L’Oreal Paris Elvive Hydra Hyaluronic 1 litre bottle with a pump is £7.50 at Home Bargains. That should last you ages?

Does anyone find the small black flip top bottles leak easily? I had one leak in my gym bag which was annoying as I got there and my clothes were covered in shampoo.

Bought a new bottle and the next week, the new one did exactly the same!

They have the original bottles on Amazon for £4.25!!

I stopped using it years ago, every salon I went to kept telling me to not use it - apparently it left a film on the hair.
I am however getting fed up with shampoo bottles getting smaller (but price increasing) because I have thick hair, and a family so the shampoo doesn’t last long in my house

I often use the green one for deep cleansing, and have seen it in Home Bargains a couple of times, in 500ml and standard size bottles. Wish I'd bought more than two in retrospect!

I have greasy hair, and the only other shampoo I've found that cleans my hair properly is Pantene Classic Clean. Just thought I'd mention that for people with greasy hair who are struggling to fjnd an alternative that actually works. It does leave my hair a bit drier than other shampoos though. Tesco apple shampoo is pretty good, but hardly ever seems to be available now. I tried Elvive Hydra Pure, but wasn't very impressed. I'd say it's for normal rather than greasy hair. I really like the conditioner though, it's light but conditions well. Cheap, non moisturising shower gel is another alternative. I sometimes - shock horror - mix washing up liquid with shampoo if I've left it for three days instead of the normal two and it's really greasy, that gets it thoroughly clean.

It drives me mad that if you've got dry, coloured, fragile... or anything but greasy hair there's so much choice. It really shouldn't be so difficult to find shampoo that cleans greasy hair properly!

If it’s any consolation, the shampoo for dry hair is not always great and leaves a residue.

Try the Aldi and Lidl dupes

Also why not rotate your shampoo? If I wash my hair in any shampoo, wash after wash, it goes flat.

The new one is rubbish, it doesn't foam up and leaves my hair feeling like it isn't clean. I miss the old ones.

Yes. RIP Tresemme. They were 900ml bottles. I could make one bottle each of shampoo & conditioner last a month. Then they changed the formula and now it makes my hair feel dry. It's rubbish. 🙁

I'm trying to find a replacement but I've added 8 plastic bottles to recycling in month.

I've found a wholesaler who provides decent shampoo in 950ml bottles. Starting tomorrow 😊

I read apparently it's bad for your hair. I stopped using it. Maybe you can find something you like equally.

Yes I saw, just annoying because it used to be a part of my grocery shop and now I’ll have to think about yet another thing to order elsewhere! The mental load never stops 😂

Both 900ml bottles and multipacks of 6 680ml available on Amazon cheap as chips still. Perhaps they’re trying to boost sales. Haven’t seen the pump versions and certainly wouldn’t buy them.

Capasal Therapeutic Shampoo. Recomended by the pharmasist.

I used Alphosyl for years but they stopped making it. I could usually get my GP to prescribe it too, but he has retired.

To be fair i do that with cat food but the subscriptions never come at the exact time i need them haha
