aibu to wear Men’s Sure Maximum Protection roll-on deodorant?

It is so lovely - the scent reminds me of DH in his Sporty Era (dh for some reason switched brands and no longer smells delicious).

It started last year when I was hospitalised and bedbound unexpectedly in the middle of the summer and instead of bringing in my own toiletries Dh just decided to bring me his own 🤷 and now I’m hooked.

dh doesn’t seem to care, and I don’t wear it on “sex days” and apparently hasn’t therefore noticed/ commented that I no longer smell like “cotton” or spring flowers or whatever.

To me this seems perfectly reasonable but I wondered, in a committed relationship, if it’s some sort of faux pas to adopt the scent of your dh as your own…

Given I struggle to find one that keeps me from getting wet underarms after only five minutes, I was hoping this was about a deodorant that worked but is marketed for men.

Try men's Mitchum roll on. I have forest air. Smells nice and the only one that keeps me dry in my very physical job even in the heatwave!

I use men's Gillette Sport Triumph gel. I use men's razors on my legs as well, they're much better.

I use sure mens. Its better than females and there are no white marks etc.

Re. the deodorant - nobody will notice or care, and it's really not that deep. Wear whatever you like.

I use an unscented deodorant, but I've been wearing men's fragrances since I was a teenager. Sex has been unaffected.

For any of you considering swapping, Lynx Africa does NOT work for increasing your number of 'sex days' - but if you want to smell like a teenage boy's bedroom, it's great for that 😀

I always use mens deoderant, shower gel, EDT etc. Smells way better on my skin.

No such thing as men’s or women’s deodorant ..All deodorants should be referred to as ‘they” and can be used in any bathroom they like!

@ParsleySageToiletDuckAndBinBags surely then Ash Wednesday to allow maximum gluttony on the actual Pancake Day. Unless it's a sin or something (surely not if you're married?). And again Easter Monday.

@OhLaDiDaDiDa I actually think you're unreasonable for wearing the manly deodorant as I really don't like them or any manly green or blue shower gels. DH however does use my deodorant surprisingly regularly.

It’s just BO basher. I use either DHs or DSs if I suddenly realise I’ve forgotten and theirs is nearby. The only reason I use the one I do is because it’s non staining.

Not familiar with this particular product but I've only ever used men's deodorants for several decades now. Mostly the "fresh" or "sea breezy" varieties. Just can't stand the horrible flowery scents pushed on women - think the last time I laid hands on one was when my checked bag was delayed and BA gifted me with one of their gendered survival kits.

Men's deodorant doesn't contain 'absorb through your skin testosterone', no one ever grew a penis from using men's deodorant, very few men would refuse the chance of a 'sex day' because they catch a whiff of sandalwood.
Most people don't struggle with wearing whatever the hell they want to when it comes to toiletries.

I wear 'men's' deodorant and use 'men's' body wash, no one has ever mistaken me for a man, the fact that I am 5'2" have breasts, hips , a woman's voice, no facial hair or adam's apple and look like a woman, are the clues that people usually observe before having to sniff me to make sure.

I've used dw deodorant on occasion think along lines of cotton fresh my fave to wear was jo Malone pear and freesia perfume alas now to expensive.

@AmyDudley loved the end line ..about not having to sniffed to confirm you're a woman.

My partner and I share an Old Spice roll on! It’s so much more effective than any women’s one I’ve tried, and doesn’t inexplicably flake white crap all over your clothes or take 40 minutes to dry in.

Women’s toiletries are so shit compared to men’s.

YANBU. I use a men’s Mitchum clinical gel as my base antiperspirant. The exact same scent used to be in the women’s range and then suddenly it was labelled as men’s. Weird. I use a roll on antiperspirant as well to help combat my stupid stinky underarms. That’s a women’s one but I hate the strong florals and typically feminine scents.

I'm female and regularly wear men's deodorant and even aftershave. I love the smell of Old Spice, Brute and Lynx!

L'Oréal Men Expert roll on deodorant is the only thing that stops me stinking! Not had complaints from anyone yet about smelling manly but I suppose there's still time...

I would be so cross if my DH did this - I have curly hair and he is bald, how would that thought process even happen??

My dad was given some Aramis as a present. One day his Brut ran out so he decided to start using the Aramis. All fine until he got home in the evening and my mum had a fit because she throught he smelt of another woman. The Aramis went straight in the bin.
